The only positive of being half an hour late home was being able to see two more trains go through Wellington. The one being a passenger service which strangely went through the platform whereas the ECS went straight through the loop at speed. #trains
@WestMidRailway 196108 trying to sneak through Wolverhampton after developing a fault at Galton Bridge and delaying everything back to Wellington. At least it meant seeing a train go into platform 6, been about 25 years since I’ve seen one in there when it was used regularly.
Can’t say I’ve ever seen 4 class 158 units coupled together but due to a tree on the line near Coseley two @tfwrail services joined together to get to Shrewsbury. Only just fitted on the platform! #trains
Took advantage of the special trains to Cosford to finally depart Platform 2 at Wellington towards Telford. That’s all three platforms there I’ve now departed Eastbound. #trains
@EastMidRailway 170205 & 170530 taking me to Liverpool South Parkway. Can’t believe 530 still has the London midland livery on its seats! Blast from the past that. #trains
It all got very exciting at Wallgate. 6E16 Knowsley Freight Terminal to Wilton EFW Terminal stopped at Wallgate to swap drivers and then a steam went flying through on the West Coast Main Line. #trains#steam
An interesting one next on @northernassist 323225. Wigan to Liverpool and return via two different routes. Outward journey via the usual St Helens and the return via Newton-le-Willows to tick off the rare line through Golborne Junction. #trains
Back to @merseyrail 777015 to take me from Ormskirk to Sandhills. Is this the only station left with a buffer stop in the middle and electric one side and diesel the other? #trains
