BREAKING NEWS: JUNO RELEASED AFTER THREE YEARS IN PRISON FOR THE KILLING OF HIS ON-SCREEN PARTNER AND EX-LOVER, THEE

“I’m so glad you’re back. How are you?”
Kla barely finished the question before pulling Juno into his arms. He held him tightly, one hand resting against the back of Juno’s head, as though he needed to reassure himself that the man he had spent three years visiting behind prison walls was finally standing in front of him without a barrier between them.

Juno laughed softly against his shoulder.
“I’m good, P’Kla. I’m happy.”

Kla pulled away to look at him. He had imagined this moment countless times, wondering what he would say when Juno was finally released, whether he would cry, whether Juno would break down the moment he stepped outside. Instead, Juno was smiling at him with a brightness that seemed almost untouched by the years he had lost.

“P’Thee kept me company,” Juno added.
Kla's smile faltered.

For a brief moment, he didn't know what to say. He had heard Juno mention Thee during their visits, sometimes speaking about him as casually as he would talk about the weather or a movie he had watched. Kla had always assumed it was Juno's way of coping. He had always hoped that, with time, Juno would find a way to make peace with what had happened.

Perhaps he had simply learned to carry the pain differently.

“I'm glad you're doing well,” Kla said instead, giving his shoulder a gentle squeeze. “You have no idea how happy I am to see you out of there.”

Juno smiled at him again, and Kla decided not to ruin the moment. He had waited three years for this day. He could allow Juno a little happiness.

The drive to Juno's new house was quiet, accompanied by the low hum of the engine and the occasional sound of traffic passing outside.

Juno sat in the passenger seat, looking out the window with an expression of childlike fascination. He watched buildings pass, pointed out a familiar café they used to visit, and laughed when he spotted a movie theater whose posters had changed since the last time he had seen them.

Everything seemed familiar to him, yet everything had continued moving while he had been away.

The world had not stopped for Juno.

His career had collapsed. His contracts had been terminated, his endorsements withdrawn, and his name had become synonymous with a crime that people still argued about online. The public had already decided who he was, and even now, after his release, there were people demanding that he be sent back to prison.

Kla had watched it all happen.

He had watched the man who once filled magazine covers and television screens become someone the world was eager to condemn and forget. He had watched Juno lose his home, his career, his friends, and almost every trace of the life he had built.

Yet through all of it, Kla had never believed Juno was capable of killing Thee.

He knew they had fought. He had witnessed their arguments, their misunderstandings, and the exhausting cycle of loving each other so fiercely that neither seemed to know what to do when that love turned painful. But Kla had also seen the way Juno looked at Thee when he thought nobody was watching. He had seen the tenderness beneath his temper, the quiet devotion beneath their disagreements.

Juno had loved Thee too much.

At least, that was what Kla had always believed.
