⚠️ The Amazon, Congo Basin, and Southeast Asia's rainforests are approaching a breaking point.
Cattle ranching, gold mining, and industrial agriculture have long driven deforestation. A new report commissioned by @RainforestNORW highlights how they're not only expanding, but being compounded by emerging demands 👇
We appreciate this initiative from S.A.N. (@MycelialOracle) to explore new ways to channel resources toward rainforest protection.
Our focus remains on protecting rainforests in partnership with Indigenous peoples and ensuring that support translates into real impact on the ground.
We’re grateful to be included, thank you.

Rainforest Foundation US Field Science Director Cameron Ellis spoke with Mongabay about the opportunities and risks of AI in Indigenous stewardship.
“Technology on its own doesn’t protect forests—people do.”

🚨Wildlife trafficking is a $20 billion global industry pushing many species to the brink of extinction. Indigenous peoples are among the most effective stewards of biodiversity and powerful allies to fight this global crisis.
At Rainforest Foundation US, we’re supporting Indigenous-led monitoring efforts to ensure these turtles and their natural habitats continue to thrive.
🐢👏Good news from the Amazon: More than 1,000 baby yellow-spotted and Arrau river turtles have been returned home after being rescued from traffickers.
Last week, our team in Peru participated in the release of 1,092 river turtles into the Indigenous territory of the Yagua people of Yanayacu. Thanks to the community’s ongoing stewardship of their lands, these turtles now have a real chance to survive ✊
We’re proud to share something we’ve been working hard on: our new Kids’ Corner!
With new games, activities, and learning materials, kids can:

♀️✊Across the world, Indigenous women are organizing for their rights, their communities, and their forests.
In the North Pakaraimas mountains of #Guyana, Surujani Robinson and other Patamona women came together to address the challenges faced by women. Through the Patamasan Protectors of I'na Pata (PPIP), they are advancing women’s leadership, promoting gender equality, and confronting gender-based violence in their communities.

I got to share the case for Bitcoin Treasuries for nonprofits and why Rainforest Foundation US @RainforestUS is developing a 100 BTC treasury to help fund rainforest protection for decades to come.
@Forenally To everyone who supported the #AMAZON token and helped turn crypto into real-world impact — a big THANK YOU. 🌳

🌱 In 2025, fires in Brazil’s Amazon dropped by 78%, reaching the lowest levels since 2019.
9.5 million acres of Brazil’s Amazon rainforest burned last year, this is roughly 50 times the land area of New York City. While still alarming, this represents a dramatic 78% reduction compared to 2024.
