Keen birdwatcher, animal lover, hiker, prog-rocker, gardener & general outdoorsy kinda guy. I like to see truly wild birds, not ones with rings on their legs.
@ViennaCircle@beatsworking Spotify's 'Discover Weekly' channel put me onto this and now I can't stop playing it. Best new music I've heard in ages! Listening with Jim was fun & gave this old prog-rocker something new to check out. Thanks guys๐
Always a joy to visit Cemlyn and experience the tern-fest @North_Wales_WT @AngBirdNews. This time I'd hoped to see the reported Curlew Sandpiper but instead left with this ....
First outing for Ouzels this year. Normally takes a few tries so couldn't quite believe it when I got onto one as soon as I got to Blackclough Farm. Several Wheatears as well. Just into Derbyshire but parked in Cheshire. @CHESHIREBIRDING@CAWOSBirding
Paula Vennells has handed back her CBE.
But it is no good, she, Crozier, all the Fujitsu bosses, and the Government Post Office bosses need to be investigated and prosecuted if found to have pursued postmasters when they knew it was their faulty computer system.
Another snippet of video from the Bakewell Waxwing flock. These guys were literally at my feet. Terribly inconvenient when you're already on full zoom๐ @WaxwingsUK

What about the bigger scandal?
#PaulaVennells has been disgraced but as #AlanBates raises the question: "Who gave it to her (CBE)...why did they think she had done such a good job?
@Vittles_Cafe Yes thanks Mick. Hope you & Paula are having fun post-Vittles. We struggle to find a decent breakfast now when we come into town. You've left a big hole. Talking about the CBE petition, Anne's now really worried that she'll end up topping herself. I'm not worried in the slightest
Waxwings near Bakewell today. I managed a half-decent shot and turned around to see my wife pointing her camera at the ground. I think she got the better prize.
I just signed the petition calling on Paula Vennells, the former CEO of the Post Office to be stripped of her CBE. Will you sign too? #MrBatesVSThePostOffice https://t.co/Ijr04AmyWx via @38degrees
Knew there were a few Waxwings in Sheffield but was amazed to find ~200 of them when I turned up at Crosspool yesterday! One group were actively eating Leyland Cypress cones. Never seen that before. @WaxwingsUK
One of those rare occasions last week when the Manx Shearwaters came close enough to shore for those of us without sea-legs to appreciate them๐@RSPBCymru@RSPBConwy@GlaslynWildlife
@birdwave10 You must have just missed them Pete. I was there at 5pm and saw at least four. Also Common Sand & 2 Black-necked Grebes below the Lapwing Lane viewpoint.
