Do not for a moment forget why we tell our stories. Speak up. Take action. Imagine a better world. Demand change.
This is why, as an artist, it's essential to also scream loudly about why you love your work—even if no one else is loud about it yet.
And remember, not all forms of advertising require money. By trading your time, collaborating with like creators, and giving things for free, you're not just promoting your work, you're building a community of like-minded individuals.
There's a lot of talk about how exposure doesn't pay the bills, and this argument is valid when it's larger companies preying on smaller creators.
But YOU have a choice about how you spend your time and get the word out there. You can share, spread the word, and offer your stuff in a way that feels fair for what you get back.
