LeBron came to LA when nobody would knowing the huge void that was left when Kobe retired. Then with covid, with Kobe passing…He gave it his all & delivered a championship in the toughest years possible for Laker fans & I could not be more grateful for that. Thank you.

End of an era in LA for King James 👑🏆

[NBA on ESPN @ESPNNBA]

“This was a team, a franchise, a city in deep mourning and disarray after the tragic death of Kobe Bryant. And LeBron was able to bring that team together. … That is storybook stuff. ”

@KingJames One day 💪🏽🙏🏽

[Earvin Magic Johnson @MagicJohnson]

I want to thank LeBron James and his super agent Rich Paul for taking a meeting with me back in 2018 when I was President of the Lakers and deciding to sign with us. He created a whole new era for the Lakers, including leading us to an NBA Championship in 2020 and all the milestones he surpassed in a Lakers jersey. I’ll always love and be grateful for him and wish him all the best in the next phase of his life, on and off the court!
