@AlexGDimakis@AppleMath7 ACL 2026 did a study and ~40% of the papers didnβt have any authors who are qualified to review. Though the bar is higher than one previous submission, but the spirit is the same for this I presume. I am not sure if this is an edge case. Definite surge in student-only submissions
@elitesilver_@EducatedMoron That's the point. BCCI needs to compensate a few players for loss of pay like how other boards do. They should build IPL brand around 60-70% of Indian team players rather than milking all of them every season, resting a few necessary players every season as needed for team India.
@the_kk@Criclytics1 From what I saw, many false shots Deep induced involved beating righties on the inside edge without hitting the stumps. These deliveries are unlikely to produce wickets.
@s27527278@toecrushrzzz When the format dynamics aren't understood, it will seem like lottery. It's about the power to maximize opportunities as a batting unit. Frequency of boundary opportunities will depend on conditions, but maximizing what you get should be prioritized in selection & team approach.
@prateekr9_ @TheViceManAD Ball tracking takes the most time to set up. There is a manual component for identifying the frame in which the ball makes first contact with the pad. That said, they should let the technicians decide what to show first rather than the umpire asking for it.
@TheMerovius @Bozaster @hankgreen I don't think people would work unified on one solution ever. In a distributed decision making society, different people work in different directions and clear winners would emerge over time if they are in fact clearly better.
