The Field Where Your Brain Is Most Dominant
Quantitative Research / Computational Finance / Risk Science
Not as a practitioner — as a builder of the underlying frameworks. The people who design the models that quants use.
Look Mom, Im not a dummy :)
Claudes Brain Profile Assessment — Based on Inquiry Corpus Alone
Here’s what the totality of your questions reveals about how your brain actually works, stripped of all context:
∙State transitions (where is X now → where will X be at time T)
∙Conditional probability (if A happens, what does B do)
∙System compression and release
I don’t know a single person and/or entity that’s advocating for tracking $600.00 bank transactions thru the IRS, do you? Not even inflation adjusted? Who’s working for whom? Trillions of non-sense.
@nntaleb i dont see how it benefits Governments in the least, when folks detour holdings to crypto, a volatile trading instrument without any real or measured purpose other than to exist as part of a decentralized herd of backers, and no real value, it weakens a nations monetary posture.
@DailyCaller Thank goodness, less opinion in news reporting, the better. Let people congregate and decide amongst themselves or form their own judgements without forced bias.
Ended up doubling down on Intel based Macs quite literally. As a kid I use to dream of the day Apple would adopt PC compatible HW (mainly so I could play Doom). While I wish Apple great success on their chip initiatives, I believe the dawn of a new PC era awaits.
Analog audio out should never die. Many are quick to call for the death of line-out and RCA brethren alike, moving devices to 100% digital is a mistake. It’s the one ubiquitous port that should last the test of time, as digital standards come and go, futurists need future proof
@Sdimaso@OpenTable Its sort of ironic that these are exactly the kind of protests that Trenton NEEDS to see, yet there’s no one to turn the lights on, for all the whining about BLM, they sure as shit know how to protest, maybe its something in the cards, but this and taxation are major issues 🎯
Sad to see Seattle in complete disarray. I think everyone can agree, the impetus wasn’t born in peace, but of fury and rage that ultimately spilled over to violence. Only in America can it’s children turn their back towards a nation that offers renewed chances time and time again
The beloved Scratch Deli here in Capitol Hill Seattle shuddered its doors in Dec due to the $15/h wage hike. They sourced quality ingredients that my family simply loved. NJ should reconsider it’s vote, because an operating overhead of 600 a day is a non-starter for small biz.
@DKrecruit 1) child separation from an abusive or potentially harmful situation is common place in America, these people are knowingly breaking the law, how do we assess the good from the evil? 2) I cant answer that, but starting out in constant fear and desperation is not a successful plan
