@ACTFibernet is the worst internet .. I am using 100 mbps plan.. airtel mobile plan is giving better connectivity via hotspot than act fibre shit . I used @HathwayBrdband for 6 year I didn't face any issues ... This @ACTFibernet is causing issues daily ...stay away from this shit

I was just thinking about it.. I am one of them who had to be sent to a boarding school much before I had turned 10.

Papa was posted in one of the remote villages near the Nepal border, which was 35 km from Narkatiaganj and approx 70 km from the district headquarters Bettiah.

The crime especially the kidnappings was rampant, the kidnappers would spare no one & the ransom would increase every single day. The administration was either scared or hands in gloves with the kidnappers.

Things went bad when 3 of my father's colleagues got kidnapped and upon failing to pay the ransom of time, the kidnappers murd*red 2 of them, one of them miraculously survived.

It was that day my parents decided to take the toughest call of their lives and decided to put my sister & me in the boarding schools. I still the conversation my parents had, my father said- I may have enough resources to spend on my kids education but certainly not enough to pay ransom if any one them get kidnapped.

Today Papa is no more but he always regretted not having us around. I remember my parents' sad faces when we left home.

We are doing well in our lives today but this has been etched to our memories.

There are a lot of such stories of us Biharis who are migrants in different parts of the country or are settled abroad that may surprise others.

We have lived through those hard times in Bihar and wish no one goes through that ever.
