I was a child when Emergency was imposed and for the longest time I hated her for it but now that I look at actual history she was not wrong that they were calls for armed rebellion and foreign powers were trying to destabilize India.

Also remember that while she imposed the Emergency she called for elections within 2 years without being compelled to do so.

You should see her first press conference in London after she had lost the election. A journalist asked aggressively "What did you achieve with the Emergency?

She replied with a smile, " I achieved the impossible - I managed to alienate every single group in the country"

@dmuthuk With all due respect, it seems you are taking AI advice too seriously. AI is just a tool. Almost all software companies are using it now. Anthropic or OpenAI are developers of these tools but these software companies use these tools to enhance productivity & efficiency.

@dmuthuk But more jobs are created for other roles as overall productivity and efficiency of organisation increased. AI and Robotics are the need of the hour. I am pained to see our fellow human beings doing manual works in so many industries and roles which many of us will never do.

@dmuthuk AI, like any other technology will enhance productivity and efficiency. Good for overall economy. It will definitely impact companies/Individuals that are rigid to changes. In my organisation, there used to be Data entry operators, and QAs for long time. These jobs are now gone.
