I just read similar case today in a local newspaper, a lady changed her name and age by declaring in newspaper. I don't know if one is allowed to change year of birth from 1956 to 1962, discrepancy in years?

Only 1 voter left in a polling booth in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk - 908 names deleted!

As per the voter list of 1-1-2025, Polling Booth number 33 in AC Chandni Chowk had 909 voters. Kamal Lal, a resident, told us that the jhuggi cluster was demolished in 2023 but the residents continue to live there. They voted in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections elections and the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections.

During the SIR process, residents submitted their enumeration forms- in fact, many even have the acknowledgment signed by the BLO. However, the minutes of meeting of BLO-BLA of the polling booth wrongly state that only 1 enumeration form was collected during house to house visits.

The deletion list (ASDD) of this polling booth records 728 deletions during SIR while 180 deletions appear to have been made in the pre-SIR mapping exercise!

Now the residents are being told unless they furnish electricity or water bills or proof of land ownership they can’t be on the voter list. This is completely absurd. The ECI manual recognises the right of even homeless people to be registered as voters.
@CeodelhiOffice must immediately address this mass disenfranchisement.

ये कोई एक-दो नाम नहीं, स्क्रीनशॉट में दो पेज की लंबी फेहरिस्त है। जब सिस्टम के संरक्षक ही सिस्टम लूटें, तो आम आदमी की सुनवाई कौन करेगा? "इंडिपेंडेंट" का टैग लगाकर अपने पुराने सिस्टम के सबसे बड़े लाभार्थी का हित करना निष्पक्षता नहीं, नौकरशाही का नैतिक दिवालियापन है। सवाल – क्या ये नौकरशाह सेवाकाल में निष्पक्ष थे, या रिटायरमेंट की सुनहरी जॉब के लिए पहले से पुल बना रहे थे? ये गठजोड़ देश की संस्थाओं की गरिमा को खोखला कर रहा है। ये रिवॉल्विंग डोर नहीं, लूट का खुला दरवाजा है।
