The Election Commission of India (ECI) has filed a robust counter-affidavit before the Supreme Court, addressing every allegation point-by-point with complete clarity.
From debunking myths around Form 6 and ECINet deletion powers to setting the record straight on Goa and West Bengal allegations, the Commission has laid out all the facts clearly.
Here’s a breakdown of the 10 key takeaways 👇
1. Unanimous Affidavit: Approved by all three Election Commissioners, including the CEC.
2. Unanimous SIR Orders: All three major SIR orders were unanimously approved; internal deliberations are normal & healthy.
3. Disputed Order Never Implemented: The July 28 internal work allocation order was never implemented.
4. Form 6 Fact-Check: Form 6 was never amended. The SIR Declaration is a separate document for verification.
5. Simpler SIR Process: Voters can map using past electoral rolls, BLOs will do doorstep collection, & family representation/online hearings are allowed.
6. ECINet Clarification: ECINet cannot delete voters; only statutory EROs hold that power. An expert panel is reviewing ECINet compliance.
7. Goa Allegations Debunked: Out of 97 flagged voters, 88 were accepted Form 6 applicants, 6 were abroad, and 3 were foreign passport holders.
8. West Bengal Claims Rejected: Flagged voters were already legally enrolled and entitled to vote, backed by judicial orders.
9. Media Reports ≠ Legal Evidence: Unverified newspaper clippings cannot form the basis of a legal petition.
10. Constitutional Protection: Restraining the CEC is legally untenable; constitutional tenure protections and statutory 3-member processes apply.
A well-explained, transparent counter to all the misinformation!

Encontró trabajo limpiando oficinas y después empezó a repartir paquetes.
Me eché a llorar.
No aceptó inmediatamente.
Seguimos discutiéndolo durante meses.
Hoy me envía mucho menos.
Y, por primera vez en siete años, sé dónde vive realmente.
|| Panchadevas, Panchayatana Puja and the Fivefold Manifestation of Ishvara ||
The Panchadevas are the five principal deity forms of Ishvara worshipped in Panchayatana Puja, a system particularly associated with the Smarta tradition. Its systematic formulation is traditionally attributed to Adi Shankaracharya.
The Smarta tradition draws primarily upon Smriti literature, including the Puranas are largely centred around Puranic forms of the Divine.
But this does not mean that Vedic deities such as Indra, Prajapati and Varuna are excluded from Hindu philosophy. They too are understood as manifestations of Brahman. However, their worship belongs primarily to the Shrauta tradition, which is rooted in the Shruti, the Vedas, and is expressed through Vedic yajnas.
Why these particular manifestations?
A natural question arises: Why did Adi Shankaracharya give prominence to these particular forms of Ishvara?
One reason is that these deities had already become central to major devotional traditions within Hinduism. Shiv, Vishnu, Devi, Surya and Ganesh, each had well-established traditions of worship, philosophical literature and Agamic systems governing their rituals.
Different communities regarded different deities as the Supreme Ishvara. Shaivas revered Shiv, Vaishnavas revered Vishnu, Shaktas worshipped Devi, and so on.
Panchayatana Puja offered a way to bring these traditions together without denying the supremacy of one's chosen deity. The underlying Advaitic understanding is that the forms may differ, but the ultimate Reality is one.
There was also another major tradition centred on Kumara Karttikeya, or Skand. Because of this, many Smarta traditions, particularly in South India, follow a six-deity form of worship known as SHANMATA, encompassing six major traditions. Adi Shankaracharya is therefore traditionally honoured as Shanmata Sthapakacharya, the establisher of the sixfold system.
Why five?
Why specifically five forms in Panchayatana Puja? Why not seven, ten or more?
The number five also carries a deeper philosophical significance through the concept of Pancha-Kritya, the five cosmic functions of Ishvara:
1. Tirodhan -- concealing the true nature of Reality and binding the Jiv within Samsar.
2. Srishti -- creation or manifestation.
3. Sthiti -- preservation and sustenance.
4. Samhara -- dissolution.
5. Anugraha -- grace, through which the true nature of the Self is revealed and liberation becomes possible.
These five functions are associated with the five manifestations of Pancha-Brahma, Pancha Brahma refer to the fivefold manifestations, forms, or faces of Bhagawan Shiv: Tatpurush, Sadyojat, Vamadev, Aghor and Ishan.
Thus, the number five is not merely an arbitrary arrangement of deities. It reflects a deeper Hindu philosophical idea: the One Reality manifests through different functions and forms, while remaining ultimately one.
The Pancha-Brahma Upanishad, belonging to the Krishna Yajurveda tradition, elaborates on these five aspects and their relationship with the cosmic functions of Ishvara.

Maharshi Valmiki gave the world the Ramayana. Uttar Pradesh is now giving his legacy, and the community that carries it, the respect it was denied for decades.
Today, Valmiki Jayanti is being celebrated across all 75 districts with Ramayana recitations and Deepdaan. Ayodhya's international airport bears his name. His tapasthali at Lalapur, Chitrakoot is being developed with a riverfront ghat and parikrama route.
And honour has gone beyond heritage. Sanitation workers are guaranteed a minimum ₹16,000 honorarium with PF, SC scholarships have a proposed ₹977 crore in the 2026-27 budget, and the Swachhata Udyami Yojana now offers up to ₹7.5 lakh in capital subsidy.
Under CM Yogi, respect for Maharshi Valmiki is visible both in temples and in pay slips. #ValmikiJayanti

Vijay Deverakonda also pointed a monumental failure of CONgress.

CONgress wants Kashmir to go back to those "Golden Days" & that's why wants to bring back Article 370 if Voted Back to Power.
🚨 BAD DAY FOR CJP AND THE OPPOSITION!
The Election Commission’s counter affidavit in the Supreme Court makes two key points:
1. All SIR related decisions were taken with the consent of all THREE Election Commissioners. No unilateral decision making.
2. Form 6, used for voter registration, was NOT amended.
The allegations against the CEC are now facing serious questions.
When facts refuse to cooperate with your narrative, the narrative starts falling apart.
Looks like a rough day for CJP and the opposition.
Gyanesh Kumar is here to stay !!
🚨 What Happens to Rahul Gandhi Now?
The Election Commission has put its defence on record before the Supreme Court in the SIR case. All eyes are now on the court proceedings.
🔥 If the ECI’s claims stand up to scrutiny, Rahul Gandhi and the opposition will need solid evidence to substantiate their allegations.
⚖️ Will Rahul Gandhi prove his claims, or will the opposition face a major setback?
Political rhetoric is one thing. Proving allegations in court is another.
LET THE EVIDENCE SPEAK! 🇮🇳

🚨 BIG BREAKING: ELECTION COMMISSION HITS BACK! 🇮🇳🔥
ECI STANDS FIRM. ALL THREE SIR ORDERS WERE UNANIMOUS!
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Election Commission of India have firmly defended the Commission’s functioning before the Supreme Court, putting forward a strong response to the allegations surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Here are the KEY TAKEAWAYS from ECI’s counter-affidavit:
🔹 NO UNILATERAL DECISIONS! The ECI has categorically stated that all three SIR orders issued in June 2025, October 2025 and May 2026 were unanimous decisions of all three members of the Commission.
🔹 A COLLECTIVE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS: Files move through the Election Commissioners before reaching the CEC. The Commission has clarified that internal notes, queries and suggestions are part of routine administrative functioning—not evidence of unilateral decision-making.
🔹 PETITION BASED ON A SINGLE NEWS REPORT? The ECI has challenged the very basis of the allegations, stating that the petition against the CEC’s functioning relies entirely on a single media report.
🔹 FORM 6 WAS NOT AMENDED: The Commission maintains that the prescribed voter application form was not formally changed. It has also acknowledged the confusion caused by the online presentation and said the process would be aligned with the physical form.
🔹 VOTERS’ INTERESTS PROTECTED: Unmapped voters would generally not have to attend hearings in person. BLOs would collect documents from their homes, with hearings reserved for exceptional circumstances and preferably conducted online.
🔹 STRONGER DIGITAL SAFEGUARDS: The ECI has reiterated that voter names cannot be added or deleted through ECINet without an order from the Electoral Registration Officer. Technical experts from IIT and IISc have been brought in to examine compliance.
🔹 GOA CASE CLARIFICATION: Of the 97 voters reportedly left out, the ECI says 88 were already enrolled, six were abroad and three held Portuguese passports.
🔹 CONSTITUTIONAL PROTECTION FOR THE CEC: The ECI has argued that the attempt to restrain Gyanesh Kumar from functioning as CEC is not legally maintainable, pointing to the constitutional safeguards governing the removal of the office-holder.
🔹 ACCOUNTABILITY FOR OFFICIALS: The Commission has made it clear that officers exceeding their delegated authority can face action.
🔥 THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR: THE ECI IS DEFENDING ITS INSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY.
India’s electoral system cannot be judged on the basis of selective reports, speculation or allegations alone. Questions deserve answers, but accusations must also stand up to facts, evidence and constitutional scrutiny.
The ECI has presented its position before the highest court of the land and sought permission to submit a detailed response.
A strong democracy needs an independent Election Commission, transparent procedures and due process—not trial by media! 🇮🇳⚖️
The Supreme Court will determine the legal questions. Until then, the ECI’s submissions deserve to be examined on their actual merits rather than through speculation.
