Indian football is facing one of its most uncertain phases in recent years.

And this uncertainty has little to do with performance on the field.

It is about 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲.

Several of 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀, including Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Sandesh Jhingan, and Sunil Chhetri, have come together to raise the alarm about the state of Indian football.

In a recent video, they called on FIFA to intervene, citing the ongoing uncertainty around the 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 (ISL).

This matters because the 𝗜𝗦𝗟 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

It is the 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 in India.

Yet, this uncertainty has left players and clubs in limbo at a time when training should have already begun.

Players do not know whether their contracts will continue

Many have received 𝗻𝗼 𝗰��𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 or renewals

Clubs are unsure whether to 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲.

Transfers, scouting, and youth promotions remain stalled

For athletes in a sport like football, where 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, and highly time-sensitive, such prolonged uncertainty can be devastating.

What makes this even more troubling is the timing.

Less than a month ago, we celebrated global 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲.

And yet, here are our own players, left waiting for basic answers about their future.

This reflects something 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁 has recently said:

“We are not poor. We are just poorly directed.

We don’t know the right direction to move in because we don’t know the right center to have.

That lack of direction shows up clearly in our 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

As individuals, we don’t know 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 or which issues to question.

And so does our politicians, they are, after all, a reflection of who we are as a society.

This is why any real change must begin with 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁.

Until that happens, our players will continue fighting battles that should never have existed.

A Chemical Banned in Italy.
Now India Is Being Asked to Live With It.

Most people have never heard of PFAS.

They are often called “𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀” because once they enter water, soil, or the human body, they almost never leave.

But that is not the news.

The news is that chemicals that many countries have 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 are now being produced in India.

Reports show that before this shift, a major PFAS manufacturing operation was 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆.

Italian authorities later found PFAS contaminating 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀, and 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀.

The scale of pollution was so severe that the ��𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁, and its executives were sent to prison.

PFAS production, however, did not disappear.

It simply 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗱.

Shifted to a country where people are already struggling with industrial chemical discharge into rivers.

And who pays the price?

Not corporations.
Not urban elites.

It is 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻.

As 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁 has pointed out, ecological damage is never neutral.

It is always an injustice to the poor, those with the least power, the least awareness, and the least ability to resist.

This is why, if people remain unawakened, such issues will never receive limelight.

And when there is no public pressure,
why would leaders feel any urgency to act?

I am one of them. MEXC banned my account worth $19,000 - literally a fortune for me

But because I have very low reach on X, they ignore to solve my case

1⃣ August 2025: MEXC bans my account for 365 days saying it triggered risk control

2⃣ I requested a review, I got email saying risk review to be completed on Dec 29th, 2025

3⃣ I log into MEXC review page, see that review process is supposed to end in August 2026

4⃣ Today, I receive another email saying the date of risk review will be finished in june 2026

5⃣ I am asking Live support to confirm the valid date, they say the review will end in 27th Feb, 2026

So I got 4 different dates

Support refuses to community without sending same robotic messages
