Now remember

The same people who are struggling today were mocking Manmohan Singh back then, when he was navigating far worse conditions with Crude at $120 - $140.

And yet, he held the economy steady without any noise, chest thumping or PR spectacle

He navigated the 2008 global crisis.
He handled the oil super cycle.
He managed the taper tantrum.

And most importantly, he did it without making ordinary Indians feel the shock.

Because his focus was simple.

Stability. Clarity. Foresight.

He governed to protect people, not to perform for headlines.

Fast forward to today.

Lower crude prices. More resources. More control.

And still, RECORD BORROWING. Visible stress. No clear direction.

The same people who mocked him are now struggling to manage far easier conditions.

That is the difference.

One governed with depth & responsibility.

The other survives on optics.

History has a way of correcting narratives.

Let's calculate because I'm not a lockdown kid and also I can get slab rates from internet and do basic calculations.

Consider a person earning 12L in 2014, paying rent 2.5L and 80C limit at 1L, 80D 15K, 80EE 1L, 80CCG 50K all in per year basis.

Now if your remove all deduction and expemption, his taxable income based on last Budget by Manmohan Singh Govt would be 7.7L on which he would be paying 86.5K as tax.

Now since we are in 2026, let's consider a generous inflation of 7%, although home, medical and education inflation is more than 10%. Now same person would be earning 27L inflation adjusted salary.

Let's calculate the tax in 2026 - On 27L salary based on "highly relaxed" tax structure by Modi Govt he would be paying 3.8L income tax in new regime.

So basically we are paying 4times tax on a 2 times increase in salary.

PS: I usually ignore such post but today I spent 30 mins to do all the calculation because this myth that "No tax upto 12L" needs to busted.

Adding a fact with Proof - it wasn’t the Kandahar hijackers who called “Hindus cowards” but the RSS Sangh who labelled the pilot & the passengers as cowards.
Earlier I shared once, sharing again -

After The Kandahar IC 814 Hijack incident on 24th Dec,1999 where the Indian Govt had to release 3 terrorists in exchange for the lives of 155 passengers & 11 crew of the hijacked plane the deal draw a widespread criticism calling "national humiliation".

At this moment the then-RSS Chief Rajju Bhaiya (Rajendra Singh) wrote a column in Panchajanya that the incident exposed the deep rooted cowardice within the 'Hindu Samaj'.

He emphasised that Hindus should never fear death. He argued on the aircraft, even if 8-10 young men had stood up and confront the terrorists they could have made difference.

He noted that while concern from passengers' families was expected, the intensity of their protests was unbecoming of a decent and dignified society. This is why Dr. Hedgewar emphasized cultivating 'Veerta' (bravery) in the Hindu community."

This the way the Sanghi brain shifted all accountability from the then Vajpayee Govt to the common public, also a hidden advertising of RSS - 'Join RSS become Brave'.

However, the famous Sanghi of VHP working president Ashok Singhal extended this discussion. In one press conference, when he was asked if the Govt could show its courage during this Plane- Hijack, he replied it was not the Govt but the pilot who had to show courage.
"If the pilot had courage, he would have just refused to fly the hijacked plane."

HT reporters reached Captain Devi Saran for his bite. This time the Captain said in response "I don't know who this gentleman 'Ashok Singhal' is but he knows nothing of aviation or the value of innocent lives."

Captain Devi Saran also said
"If he speaks about being a 'Hindu' then at first I'm a Human. Even Sri Krishna in Mahabharata tried his best to prevent Bloodshed before Kurukshetra.
I would like to ask this Gentleman Did he meet the family members of the hijacked plane passengers or Crew during this crisis period?"

Many passengers came out after this & slammed Ashok Singhal's statement.

A few passengers wrote a letter Where It said
" When the conversation failed on 30th Dec & the hijackers started talking about bombing the plane in the sky it was Captain Saran who told us how to open the emergency door. It was planned that he will not let the plane fly but run till the end & crash it with the wall so that we passengers can jump off the plane & escape.

In such a situation, he was going to be killed certainly. And if Mr Singhal is so courageous then why didn't he come to Kandahar to fight those Hijackers & rescue us?"

Red faced Sangh Parivar further had no discussion on this subject.

It is noteworthy that after so-called nationalist RSS was founded at Dusshera Fest in 1925, it had 22yrs before Independence to make it's mark in the history of the freedom movement. And in it's entire History it worked as British stooge and after the Independence as agent of CIA for petty monetary benefits. And that too have ample evidence.

Anyone with basic brains can figure out what Indigo did was very intentional. This was not sudden disruption, this was almost a planned strike to strongarm the government into giving it what it wants. What people went through doesn't matter to them, it's just collateral damage. And the fact that govt let this happen is on them. What Indigo has pulled here is nothing short of a huge scam.

They have been selling tickets, charging for extras such as seat bookings and other services knowing all along that massive cancellations will take place! Thousands of travelers including senior citizens and small children were left stranded at airports, with no intimation of when their flight would leave. Then the flight was cancelled after several hours. No compensation or support to those stranded for this trash of an airline!

@MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia should haul them over the coals for this blatant disregard. Several resounding slaps and large fines and penalties must be levied on this arrogant, monstrous monopolist of a company @IndiGo6E.

6. Make public suffer for 24hrs inside airport by saying flight delayed. Knowing massive public noise would be created.

7. Refund the money after 24 hrs.

8. Earn interest on the money for months since people booked it.

9. Let entire nation suffer, by choking aviation transport totally.

10. Govt rollback the rules.
