Soil extinction is not just another ecological challenge. It is an existential threat. If we do the right things now, we can significantly turn this situation around and regenerate the soil in the next 15-25 years.–Sg #SaveSoil#ConsciousPlanet@UNCCD@FAO@WFP@UNEP@cpsavesoil
We are a part of the environment - changing ourselves is changing the environment. Saving the environment is also about saving ourselves. On this Environment Day, let us understand the core connect between what we call as Life and what we call as Environment: this is a Living Planet. Let's nourish it to be alive and thriving as that is the basis of our lives. -Sg #WorldEnvironmentDay @UNEP
The best place to increase green cover is on private farmlands. Farmer economy is most vulnerable to extreme climate. Tree-based farming will not only bring down the temperature but will also significantly contribute to farmer prosperity & is one of the simplest and most effective ecological & economic solutions to mitigate climate change impact. -Sg
Though the density of population is a real challenge for our Nation, most important to strive to maintain the minimally mandated 33% green cover. Among the best ways to achieve this is to promote tree-based agriculture at industrial scale. This is critical to maintain ecological stability which is threatened by soaring temperatures. -Sg
Placing land under green shade is imperative to bring down surface temperature. There is simply no other way to cool the earth. Every square foot of green cover will contribute to regulating temperature extremes. Time to prioritize & optimize our efforts in this direction. Tree-based agriculture is the way forward. -Sg

Spectacular Dance of Democracy across Bharat. Those who have won should conduct these victories with utmost responsibility and commitment towards the people who are giving you this privilege. And those who have lost must understand that this is the normal process of democracy. Time to introspect and come up with ways to serve the people beyond being in positions of power.
Our sincere hopes and wishes to the people of these states will achieve their aspirations and goals. Namaskaram. -Sg

Meet Shuga, a 28-year-old visually impaired Earth Buddy who ran 21 km (barefoot!) in the ADAC Marathon in Hanover on 12 April 2026 to raise awareness for Conscious Planet – SAVE SOIL movement.
He shares that just as his feet have been pushed to their limits of exhaustion, so has the soil – which is the foundation of our life.
His message is powerful: “Everyone is capable of making a difference.”
He was accompanied by his friend Martin, who physically guided him along the route since he cannot see. For both of them, it was about setting an example and standing up for responsibility and community.
The initiative behind this is Conscious Planet – SAVE SOIL, which is committed worldwide to regenerating our soils.

Dr. Sivaranjani got a court case!
For 8 years, Dr Sivaranjani has been raising concerns about fake ORS! Last week she got a court case from one such company.
Companies in India spend crores on lawyers and Bollywood celebrities. Imagine if they instead spent on good quality ingredients as well?
This is not just a court case on Dr. Sivaranjani, this is also an attack on freedom of speech. Companies should remember that Freedom of Speech allows Freedom to Criticize.

A Journey That Sparked A Global Movement
On 21 March 2022, Sadhguru set out to change the world's relationship with soil.
What began as an arduous 30,000 km journey across 27 nations transformed into one of humanity's largest ecological movements, uniting world leaders, scientists, and over 4.1 billion citizens behind a single cause.
There is enormous momentum, but the real challenge still remains: implementing policies to maintain 3-6% soil organic matter (based on regional conditions) in every nation.

Water in the soil is the lifeblood of our food systems, yet tracking it globally is a massive scientific challenge.
Recent research has highlighted how different technologies—from satellites in orbit to sensors in the ground—can often give us contradictory signals. By analyzing 23 different global datasets over four decades, scientists are working to bridge these gaps.
The findings show a complex story: a general long term drying trend, but with surprising shifts toward wetter conditions in the last decade. This reminds us that soil is a dynamic, living system that reacts differently depending on the local environment.
To protect our water security, we must continue to refine how we monitor soil health.
