Fck Variety. I really hope Tom Holland gets nominated for an Oscar for The Odyssey. I'm dead serious. He had to show a whole coming-of-age arc without a single monologue, and he did it all with just reactions, his eyes and the way he moved. He was incredible.
kinda crazy that one of my biggest worries about THE ODYSSEY was the hyper-modern language and “ten years on this fucking beach, let’s go home” ended up landing like a sledgehammer
Underrated funny part of THE ODYSSEY is when Robert Pattinson begins talking about his childhood and they flash back to an equally sharp-cheekboned child
"Tom Holland was the weakest actor in The Odyssey!"
No. He was the weakest character—and that is quite literally the point. He played the role of a weak and scared child who had never grown up because he was waiting for his father.
We watch him mature on screen.
