A meeting was convened today in the presence of senior officials from Invest UP, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Shri Rakesh Kumar Rousan, Executive Director (Business Development), Railway Board, Government of India; and Shri Rajneesh Kumar Srivastava, Senior Divisional Operations Manager, Lucknow Division, Northern Railway.
The initiative offers logistics and warehousing investors the opportunity to lease railway-owned land for 35 years at just 1.5% of the prevailing industrial or circle rate. This step aims to accelerate the development of warehouses and allied infrastructure across the state.
Discussions highlighted key implementation measures such as promoting public-private partnerships, integrating railway land parcel data with the PM Gati Shakti Portal, and mandating one leg of transportation through rail to strengthen multimodal logistics. The integration with the portal will enable logistics players to identify suitable land more efficiently, ensuring greater transparency and robust support for investors.
This strategic collaboration is set to drive fresh investments, boost cargo movement, and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as a premier logistics hub in India.
