वियतनाम वॉर में इस्तेमाल हुए 'एजेंट ऑरेंज' केमिकल के इस्तेमाल के लिए भारत में मंजूरी मिली हुई है. इस केमिकल का नाम डाइक्लोरोफिनॉक्सीएसिटिक एसिड है.

WHO की संस्था IARC ने इस केमिकल को इंसानों के लिए 'कैंसरकारी' कैटेगरी में रखा है. लेकिन एग्रो-केमिकल कंपनियों का तर्क है कि विदेशों में इस पर लगी पाबंदियों का भारतीय खेती से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है.

अयोध्या में 2024 में मंदिर के उद्धाटन के बाद वॉटर मेट्रो की शुरुआत हुई। करीब 12 करोड़ रुपए का यह मेट्रो कोच्चि से आया था। इसे अयोध्या में राम घाट से गुप्तार घाट तक चलना था लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हो सका। 14 किलोमीटर के बजाय यह मेट्रो करीब 2 किलोमीटर के एरिया में ही घूमता रहा। धीरे-धीरे वहां भी यह बंद हो गया। कभी कम पानी की बात कही गई तो कभी अत्यधिक पानी। पिछले 3 महीनों से यह उसी जगह पर खड़ा है। आगे कब चलेगा इसका जवाब कंपनी के पास भी नहीं है।

इसके नहीं चलने के पीछे एक मुख्य वजह इसका किराया भी है। पर्यटन विभाग के पास जब यह था तब 150 रुपए किराया लगता था। प्राइवेट कंपनी को हैंडओवर हुआ तो किराया दोगुना हो गया।
