I remember saying motherhood isn’t always 50/50 in practice, and someone told me, “You don’t know me. My husband will do everything.” 😅 Sometimes experience is the best teacher. Some things you don’t fully understand until you’re living them. #untilexpereinecedkipshut
I hate when I say I don’t want another child and people still try to persuade me. Then they ask, “What about your husband? Doesn’t he want another one?” Lol.
Maybe this will put it into perspective: if having another child were the only way to save my marriage, I still wouldn’t.
Living in Canada feels like being everywhere at once 😭
I’m at the gym looking around like… there’s probably someone from Somalia, Eritrea, Brazil, Turkey, Nigeria, and Canada all in one room. The diversity is so real sometimes I genuinely forget what country I’m in 🤧
Looking at my child and realizing God really handpicked me to be his mum 🤍 What wouldn’t I do for this boy? The joy, the love, the prayers… everything in me belongs to making sure he’s happy, safe, and deeply loved🥹
I love myself so much that solitude has always been pleasurable
so the idea of being round folks I don’t like, for the sake of social climbing is a crazy concept to me
The fastest way to trigger me is to send me those ‘strong woman’ quotes. Please don’t. Somewhere along the line, ‘strong’ became code for who can endure the most, tolerate suffering, nd carry pain quietly. That’s not me. I’m not built to glorify struggle😩abeg o .I’m a soft girl
I said I don’t want another child and someone told me that when I’m older I’ll wish I had more. But I already have one, and honestly, if I had to do this life again I’d want to be child-free. So why would I suddenly start missing what I intentionally chose not to have?
