Fidel Castro was born in a town nearby, but somehow he lost his way to the Moncada barracks and never made it there to participate in the actual fighting. He was captured inside a Catholic Church where he had taken refuge and the Catholic bishop made sure his life was protected. Years later and once in power his pay back to that church was forcibly shipping over 200 priests out of the country. His sentence was later commuted to the 1-1/2 years he served in prison. And while in prison he was allowed “matrimonial visits” and all kinds of other privileges. That was the Batista dictatorship ‘s payback after they killed dozens of sick soldiers who were lying sick and defenseless in bed in the barracks infirmary. After gaining power he didn’t hesitate to put thousands in front of firing squads and thousands upon thousands in the worst possible conditions in his jails. Hundreds of them to 20 and 30 year terms and made them serve their prison terms to the last day. Commies will be commies and Marco Rubio knows them well and thank god it’s all finally coming to an end. HandsOff Cuba! Patria y Vida! Viva Cuba Libre!
