@CcibChris The SAAF went on to later buy Canadair F86s. These served with 1 and 2 squadrons. They had a similar silver scheme but with blue or red band, depending on the squadron. They ended there SAAF service just prior to 1 squadron receiving their Mirage F1CZ aircraft.
@CcibChris Hi Chris. The Bucc was the best aircraft used by the SAAF in the Border war. 24 Squadron was always based at Waterkloof.
Read the series of books published by 24 Sqd on the Bucc. Amazing roles and strikes with bombs, AS30 missiles, and finally H2 Glide and tv guided bombs.
