The College World Series is honoring the late, great Steve Pivovar between innings tonight including with an honorary spot on press row. The Pivovar family is on the field for the moment too. Pivovar, of course, became an iconic figure at the event for the Omaha World-Herald.
This morning the DCSO had the privilege of swearing in our 7 new Deputies who graduated from the Sarpy Douglas Law Enforcement Academy last Friday. Congratulations to our new Deputies and welcome to Team DCSO!

The Ralston Police Department is aware of Nyoak Nyoak, who has recently been the subject of local media coverage and social media discussion. At this time, he is in compliance with the requirements of the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry; however, he is prohibited from being on any Ralston Public Schools property.
We want to remind our community to stay alert and report any suspicious or concerning behavior involving this individual, or anyone else, to local law enforcement.

Ralston PD will be participating in the upcoming Put the Phone Away or Pay traffic initiative from April 9-13, 2026. Using your phone or other device while driving is extremely dangerous. In 2023, 3,275 people lost their lives due to distracted driving. RPD will have extra officers on the streets during this time to look for distracted drivers. Please put your phone away while driving.
Does anyone else just feel like they pick up after their students all day long? Sure, some artmaking happens, and we promise we have routines and procedures, but there's always something left behind!
We’d like to extend a big thank you to the Ralston Optimist Club for inviting our officers to be part of their annual Easter egg hunt at Wildewood Park!
Events like these are a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the community in a fun and meaningful way. Our officers had a great time meeting so many families, sharing smiles, and joining in the excitement with the kids as they searched for eggs.
Our officers were lucky enough to be invited to Mavis' police-themed birthday party yesterday! 👮♀️🚓🎉
They had a great time interacting with the kids, handing out stickers, and showing off the cruisers! We're always grateful for opportunities like this to connect with the youth and our community!
With the arrival of nice weather, we have been receiving complaints about e-bikes, dirt bikes, and minibikes operating on the sidewalks and streets. These bikes have become extremely popular with kids, but unfortunately, they are only legal to ride on the sidewalks or streets if they have functional pedals (like a normal bicycle). If there are no pedals, they are ILLEGAL to ride on a public roadway or sidewalk. See the information in the attached photos for information about e-bikes, mini-bikes, dirt bikes, and other similar vehicles.
