🇺🇦❗️ Zelensky has imposed sanctions on 44 people involved in the illegal "elections" of Russian State Duma on TOT

The sanctions list includes people who act in the interests of Russia and contribute to the occupation of the territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia regions, Crimea and Sevastopol.

Some of them have already been "elected" as deputies of local councils illegally created by the occupiers.

Among those subject to sanctions are also propagandist and accomplice of the occupiers Iryna Kuksenkova and former Ukrainian deputy Yuriy Onyshchuk, who began to cooperate with the Russians after the occupation of Melitopol.

🇪🇺 Am discutat la Sibiu despre PNRR, investiții și provocările din construcții. PNRR a adus investiții, locuri de muncă și modernizare, iar finalizarea proiectelor trebuie să rămână o prioritate. Proiectele trebuie pregătite din timp pentru a evita pierderea fondurilor europene.

Obviously, the Russians are not preparing to stop their war, at least for now. Putin always finds some lame excuse – not to meet, not to hold a trilateral, not to talk, not to end it, not to stop the killing… It has been the same with him for years – and all our partners feel it. He is looking for excuses to keep waging the war. It always sounds the same – and our recent meeting with the U.S. President showed that.

America sees the situation the same way. And Russia must develop a desire to spend money not on death, but on something else – they must develop a desire to end this war. We are working on this together – with America, with Europe, with Canada, with Japan, and with many others around the world who are helping Ukraine.

In the coming days and throughout October, there will be a lot of diplomatic activity to change the situation. But beyond that, the Lindsey Graham Act, other mechanisms of pressure – all of this needs to work even harder.

Romania detains former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu

The politician was detained by Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). He was taken to his home, where searches are being carried out.

The case concerns alleged fraud, with the damage estimated at €1.1 million. The creation of an organized criminal group is also being investigated.

Georgescu, known for his pro-Russian views, took part in the 2024 presidential election and unexpectedly came first in the first round.

The election results were later annulled, and Georgescu was barred from participating in the repeat election. In May 2025, he announced his withdrawal from politics.

❗️Romania will transfer interceptor missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine as part of a joint initiative by NATO countries that hold such munitions. Romanian President Nicușor Dan announced this after meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, saying Bucharest’s contribution will be proportional to that of other Alliance states.

President of Romania @NicusorDanRO and I took part in the first Carpathian Economic Forum. The forum also features a dedicated investment EXPO zone, where each country of the Carpathian Eight is showcasing its investment opportunities in the region. Nine Ukrainian companies are presenting projects in energy, industry, transport and logistics, and the agri-food sector. After the forum, I visited the exhibition together with President Dan.

This is just the beginning, and we already have some very good results from the first summit. A large number of businesses are involved in making this happen. We already have agreements worth $1 billion. There is strong demand for investment in the Ukrainian Carpathians. The next step is investment in tourism.

🇷🇴🇺🇦 Zelensky: Together with the President of Romania Dan, we took part in the first Carpathian Economic Forum.

There is a separate investment EXPO zone, where each country of the Carpathian G8 presents its investment capabilities for the region.

Nine Ukrainian companies are presenting their projects in energy, industry, transport and logistics, and the agri-food sector. After the forum, we visited the exhibition with Nikusor Dan.

There are already agreements for one billion. The next step is investment in tourism.
