I think I've finally come to terms with letting a lot of things go. Including feelings, people, my fears and just everything. It's time for new beginnings, new chapters that bring happiness, love, and endless memories. It's time to move on with my life.
Saw a post that said: Forgive who did not know how to love you. They taught you self-love. Forgive who did not know how to treat you as you deserve. They showed you self-care. Forgive who did not believe in your dreams. They pushed you to go forward and self-motivate. Forgive who did not know how to support you. They helped you to self-empower. Forgive and make room in your soul to become the best version of yourself.
Never beg for respect. Cut off people who disrespect you. Begging teaches them your boundary is a negotiation. Every time you explain why you deserve basic decency, you confirm that decency is optional with you. Cut cleanly. No speech. Silence is the only message they'll actually receive.
Have you ever lost all respect for someone? Like you don't hate them, but you don't feel the need to associate yourself or say anything to them anymore.
Someone who destroys your mental health and your nervous system cannot be your family, your friend, or the love of your life. Anyone who consistently harms your peace, your mind, and your nervous system is not safe for your life, cut them off.
The smartest people I know all have this in common: They change their minds often. It’s not a weakness, being wishy-washy, or a sign of flaky beliefs. It’s proof that their ego doesn’t outrank new information. The goal isn't to be right, it's to get it right.
There is a Japanese Legend that says:
"Whether it's a machine, a house, or a relationship... Maintenance is always cheaper than repairing." What you don't maintain, you eventually lose.
Once you cut people out of your life, you need to become very comfortable with them talking bad and making things up about you. Because they will fill your silence and your absence with stories that make them feel better about losing access to you. People rarely take accountability when it’s easier to paint you as the villain.
