First they renamed roads, and I did not speak out because I was not a road.
Then they renamed cities, and I did not speak out because I was not a city.
Then they renamed stations, and I did not speak out because I was not a station.

Some cursory details from our story on the noida factory worker protest really jump out:
* wages increased by Rs 300, but workers say landlords raise rent itself by Rs 500 every year
* if you have kids then the 'admission season' alone cost you Rs 9,000, mostly borrowed
* Listen to what one worker has to say: "is it fair that we work 12-hour shifts in the company, and then spend the rest of our time wandering the streets just to fill our gas cylinders?"
So even time outside work is not rest, it's survival labour. While we still haven't figured what we do with our giant unemployment problem, here we have brewing resentment about employment itself no longer being enough to live your life in a city.
