@SOPHONTSIMP also
1) we've look up to the sky for thousands of years but only in the last 50 or so years do we actually try to find something out there.
and
2) they don't develop technology as fast as us or they develop technology differently than us.
@SOPHONTSIMP the more people talk about fermi paradox, the more i'm certain that it is less a solid wall that stops every sapient beings at a certain point and more like multiple filters all life across the universe will have to experience from the moment it exist until its death.
@mystic_vagrant this doesn't really refute what i said?
this shows the growth of data centers in general, not just the ones used for ai but the article make it seems like all data centers are only used for ai which is absurd.
@StakkaDakka@Skeleman71@SWANDIVE2004 the longer you didn't answer me, the more i think you straight up mistake me for other person you replied to
there's just no other way.
@StakkaDakka@Skeleman71@SWANDIVE2004 no mate, i'm genuinely asking you because i literally do not say anything like that in this conversation.
but if i indeed do this then where is it?
@sm_ar_ta_ss@nedmednissen@DickSmaII well, we use 16% of global agricultural land to provide 62% of our daily protein need while we use 5x the land area just for meat-based protein so i personally think that 38% aren't worth the environmental destruction.
@Psstttiiiaaaouu@DickSmaII nah, more like thinking beef is the only type of food that exist is no different than thinking private jets are a form of public transportation.
