The National Education Policy 2020 emphasizes the use of mother tongue as a medium of education, not just till the Foundational and Preparatory stage, but right up to higher education.

To strengthen this vision, Indian Language Primers are developed to promote language learning in collaboration with CIIL-Mysore. A total of 117 primers have already been created and on 1st September, 2025, 4 new primers i.e. Hindi, Sanskrit, Ho and Koya were launched by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, during the 65th Foundation Day celebrations of @ncert.

Confident that #NIRF will evolve as one of the best accreditation frameworks, involve more data-driven approaches, include more ranking parameters and categories and onboard more institutions going forward.

We are uniquely poised to make a quantum leap. Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji has given the clarion call for a Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat by 2047. We got ‘Swaraj’ now we have to fight for our ‘Samriddhi’. Our academic institutions are at the core of this. They have to play a leading role in creating a roadmap for ‘Samriddhi’ and ‘Atmanirbharta.’

Hon'ble Union Minister of Education Shri @dpradhanbjp chaired the 56th Meeting of the Council of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) held at @iitdelhi.

The Council unanimously resolved to take forward PM’s vision of ‘Atmanirbharta se Samridha Bharat’ across its all stakeholders. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan emphasised positioning IIT education as a catalyst for an Atmanirbhar and Samriddha Bharat. He stressed the PM’s directive that the country is not aiming for incremental change but for quantum jump and encouraged the IITs to take lead in this direction. He specifically urged the IITs to promote Indian languages by introducing regional languages in addition to English as the medium of instruction of courses for inclusive growth.
