Warm birthday wishes to Padma Bhushan Shri @Leander Paes Ji.
He has made India proud across the world through his dedication, discipline and extraordinary achievements in tennis. His Olympic medal and Grand Slam victories will always inspire young sportspersons.
Prayers from 40,000 pure souls of @KISSFoundation children for his good health, happiness and long life.
Happy to welcome a five-member delegation from Newcastle University, UK, led by Professor Nigel Harkness, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, to KIIT and KISS as part of our ongoing collaboration.
We had meaningful discussions on academics, research, innovation, sustainability, environment, agriculture, engineering and future opportunities for our students and faculty.
They visited KIIT and KISS campuses, interacted with our faculty members and appreciated the infrastructure, academic environment and the work being done here.
I am happy that KIIT and Newcastle University are continuing this journey with a shared thought for knowledge, research and service to society. My sincere thanks to the entire delegation for visiting KIIT and KISS.
During my one-day visit to Switzerland, I felt very happy to meet my dear friend and brother, Mr Fabio Azevedo, President of FIVB.
We share a very warm and close relationship. Our discussion was full of love, ideas and hope for the future of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
We spoke about how volleyball can reach new heights, how more opportunities can be created for young players, and how KIIT and KISS can contribute more to the global volleyball movement.
I am grateful to Mr Fabio and the FIVB family for their trust, affection and encouragement. Together, we will continue to work for the growth of volleyball in India and across the world.
Warm wishes on Pahili Raja.
This beautiful festival reminds us to respect Mother Earth, womanhood, our daughters and our culture.
The joy of Raja swings, pitha, new clothes and togetherness always brings back sweet memories of Odisha’s tradition. May Mahaprabhu bless everyone with happiness, good health and peace.
Raja ra aneka aneka subhechha.
I feel very happy to share that the FIVB–KIIT–KISS Centre of Excellence for Volleyball at KIIT has been elevated to an International Centre of Excellence for Volleyball and Beach Volleyball by FIVB.
This announcement was made at the FIVB Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, in the presence of FIVB President Dr Fabio Azevedo and the FIVB leadership.
This is a proud moment for KIIT, KISS, Odisha and India. What started as a centre to support Indian volleyball players will now become a global platform for players, coaches and sports professionals from different countries. It will also give international athletes the opportunity to study at KIIT and KISS while receiving world-class volleyball and beach volleyball training.
I am thankful to Dr Fabio Azevedo and the entire FIVB leadership for their trust and encouragement.
My dream is to see India represented in Volleyball and Beach Volleyball at the Olympic Games. I believe this International Centre of Excellence will help us identify, train and prepare young talents for the future, including our long-term aim towards Brisbane Olympics 2032.
Every child deserves books, dreams and a happy childhood, not labour. On World Day Against Child Labour, let us remember that education, care and opportunity are the rights of every child. A child in school today is the strength of society tomorrow.
Heartiest congratulations to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi Ji on becoming India’s longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister.
Completing 4,399 days in office is a historic achievement in India’s democratic journey. His tireless service, strong leadership and commitment to Bharat have inspired millions.
Prayers from 40,000 pure souls of @kissfoundation students for his good health, strength and continued service to the nation.
Six months. Sixteen volunteers. Countless ideas.
They brought fresh perspectives and youthful spirit—leaving behind an impact that continues to inspire.
Youth power is truly unstoppable.

Happy to welcome the Krishnavataram movie team to KIIT and KISS today for the screening and promotion of the film.
The film beautifully presents the life, love, devotion and message of Lord Krishna. Such films help our young generation remain connected with Indian culture, spirituality and values.
I felt very happy that the team interacted with our students and appreciated the campus, the discipline of our children and the atmosphere of KIIT and KISS.
My best wishes to the entire team of Krishnavataram. May the blessings of Lord Krishna be with all.
Our lovable KISSians, who were part of the 20 KIIT and KISS students selected under the fully funded Erasmus+ KA171 Student Mobility Programme at the University of Craiova, Romania, returned to the KISS campus today and were given a warm welcome by the KISS family.
During their stay in Romania, they represented India, Odisha, Santali language and tribal culture on an international platform. They performed Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet in Santali language at the International Shakespeare Festival, where participants from over 30 countries witnessed and appreciated their talent.
After their return, they also had the privilege of meeting the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji, who appreciated their participation and performances. They also performed at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, before a distinguished gathering of more than 500 people, including over 200 ambassadors, high commissioners and diplomats.
KISS is proud of its students. Their journey from KISS to Romania and back is a beautiful example of how education, opportunity and confidence can take tribal children to the global stage.
Heartiest congratulations to all our students. May they continue to make KISS, Odisha and India proud.
Heartiest congratulations to the Indian Women’s Football Team on winning the SAFF Women’s Championship 2026.
A proud moment for India. Our daughters have shown great spirit, teamwork and determination, defeating Bangladesh 3-1 in the final and bringing glory to the nation.

Day 2 at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.
After yesterday’s beautiful programme, I felt very happy to see my 20 lovable KIIT and KISS students once again performing Shakespeare’s plays in Santali language after their return from Romania.
The programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, two Hon’ble Members of Parliament and many respected dignitaries. I felt very happy that all of them appreciated the performance of our children.
Today, our 20 KIIT and KISS students had the privilege of meeting the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji, after their return from Romania.
She appreciated their participation and beautiful performances at the International Shakespeare Festival, where they represented India, Odisha and Santali language through Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet in Santali.
It is a very proud and emotional moment for all of us. Our children have shown that with opportunity, encouragement and confidence, they can carry their culture and talent to the world.
My heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji for her love, blessings and encouragement to our children.

On World Bicycle Day, I remember my childhood days when the bicycle was my simple companion. It taught me simplicity, discipline, health and care for nature.
Happy that KIIT and KISS are contributing to cycling through the international-standard Cycling Velodrome, created in honour of Odisha’s first Arjuna Awardee in cycling, Ms Minati Mohapatra.
May our youth take up cycling for good health and a better future.
74th Honorary Doctorate
Humbled to receive my 74th Honorary Doctorate from IES, Strasbourg (France), for my contributions to society over the last three decades.
I am deeply grateful to IES, Strasbourg, its Founder, Ms Soula Kyriakou, and its Co-founder, Ms Zinaida Kyriakou, for this honour. It gives me more strength to continue working for society and humanity.
Happy that KIIT has also signed an MoU with IES, Strasbourg, to further strengthen meaningful collaboration and create new opportunities for students and faculty.
Heartiest congratulations to @DRDO_India and @IAF_MCC for the successful flight test of the indigenous RudraM-II Air-to-Surface Missile from an airborne platform.
This is a proud moment for India and a strong step towards Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence technology. My salute to all our scientists, engineers and Air Force personnel for their dedication and service to the nation.
I feel very happy and emotional as Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) enters its 20th year of service to society.
On this special occasion, we felicitated our doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, technicians, paramedics, administrative staff, support staff and all members who have been part of the KIMS family since the beginning days of 2006. This was a small gesture to recognise their contribution, dedication and silent service, and ax noble journey with the same commitment.
I am deeply indebted to all doctors, staff, healthcare workers, patients, well-wishers and every member of the KIMS family who have tremendously contributed to the growth of KIMS.
KIMS is not only a hospital. It is a place of hope, healing and humanity.
Happy and humbled to receive such a warm and grand welcome at the University of Craiova, Romania.
On my arrival, I was welcomed by my 20 lovable KIIT and KISS students, who performed our traditional tribal dance, just like they do at KISS. Though I was far away from Odisha, for a moment I felt I was at home among my own children. It was a very touching moment for me.
I was also honoured in the presence of the Hon’ble Mayor of Craiova, Deputy Mayor, provincial leadership, mayors and vice mayors of nearby cities, councillors and officials, along with the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Ambassador of India to Romania.
Such love and respect from the dignitaries and from my students is not for me alone. It is for the work of KIIT, KISS and KIMS, and for the journey of education, service and humanity carried forward for the last 30 years.
It gives me immense happiness that 10 students from KIIT and 10 students from KISS are here under the Erasmus+ KA171 Student Mobility Programme, learning, performing and representing India at the International Shakespeare Festival in Craiova. For two months, they are getting a beautiful opportunity to understand a new culture, new people and a new academic environment.
The 17th KIIT International Chess Festival 2026 has started at KIIT with a record prize pool of Rs. 1.31 crore, the highest prize money offered by any university in India.
This year, more than 4,000 players and officials from over 40 countries, including 25 Grandmasters, 50 International Masters and many international title holders, have come to KIIT. Around 2,000 parents are also here with them. It gives me immense happiness to see KIIT becoming a global meeting place for chess lovers.
What started in 2011 with a prize fund of Rs. 16 lakh has today grown into one of the most respected international chess festivals. This has been possible because of the continued support of FIDE, AICF, Odisha Chess Association, organisers, players, parents and all well-wishers.
I was also touched to be felicitated by the chess players and parents from Odisha, AOCA and AICF. I have always believed that sports and academics should go together. KIIT & KISS will continue to support chess and all sports with full dedication.
My congratulations to all participants and winners of the BLITZ OPEN. My best wishes to every young player. May this festival give them good exposure, confidence and inspiration to achieve greater success in life.
I feel very happy to share that KIIT is hosting the 17th KIIT International Chess Festival 2026 from 23rd to 30th May at the Viswanathan Anand International Chess Hall, KIIT.
This year, the festival will have India’s highest prize pool of ₹1.31 crore. We are expecting more than 3,000 registered participants from nearly 40 countries, including more than 85 international title holders, 25 Grandmasters and 50 International Masters. This year, we are also hopeful of creating an India record through this grand participation.
I am happy that so many players are coming to KIIT with great expectations. At KIIT, we have always tried to provide good hospitality, proper facilities and complete support to every participant, so that they can play with comfort and confidence.
I am also happy that leading players from Odisha, including WGM Kiran Manisha Mohanty, WGM Padmini Rout and IM Sambit Panda, will participate and inspire many young chess players of our state.
Chess teaches patience, discipline, thinking and concentration. I believe this festival will give good exposure and opportunity to many young players of Odisha and India.
My sincere thanks to FIDE, AICF, Odisha Chess Association, all players, officials and everyone associated with this grand chess festival. My best wishes to all the participants.
