If you think the problem with the CR is that it was 1500 pages you are being laughed at by people with power. The problem with the CR is that it would have blocked powerful people from selling the U.S. out to China.

@arindube I think there’s clearly a social/cultural divide + no credible messenger. Meaning, there are very few national Dem politicians wc voters see as “like them” culturally. Which would be ok if workers had a union to help them formulate their political views on substantive basis.
If - IF -the Selzer poll is right this time, this is polling equivalent the Battlestar Galactica being the only ship in the fleet to not use the super new fancy technology (and that being exactly why it’s the only ship to survive the initial attack of the Cylons).
2024 = blue 1984 and the final end of Reagan era?
If you’ve been watching the dnc you’ve probably heard some version of this phrase at least a dozen times:
“We’ve endured a long hard night, but joy comes in the morning”
Sound familiar?

I haven’t been this excited to be a Democrat since the Obama 2008 campaign, when I was 17 years old — long before I became a somewhat jaded pragmatist — which inspired me to want to work in politics.
I hope this raw energy is having a similar effect on today’s 17 year olds.
What’s funny about this is Justin Amash is the kind of conservative liberals love to love bc he’s outspoken against Trump, but here is he is bragging about voting against govt funding, for a debt crisis, to cut housing support for low income families, and to eliminate the nlrb.
The differences in this primary can't be overstated.
Mike Rogers consistently voted to grow government and empower the state. I voted to shrink government and empower you, the people.

Well this is pretty fucked up, most of this info anyone with a voterfile could access! Driver’s license and last four of social are not easy, but also not that hard, to get a hold of. Probably bulk databases are for sale somewhere.
I just called the @GaSecofState Press Office (470-312-2803) and they confirmed that all you need to cancel someone's voter registration is their name, DOB, and either their address or the last four digits of their social.
I asked what safeguards are in place to protect voters and prevent unauthorized cancellation of someone else's voter status and they couldn't answer the question. All they said is that it was "illegal" and they "encourage everyone to follow the law", then he referred me back to the 'My Voter Page'.
They also could not tell me if the voter is notified that their registration has been canceled.
The man that answered the phone tried twice to rush me off the phone and would not provide his name. #gapol
Israel is in a bad situation getting worse by the day. I don’t know much about internal Israeli politics but - seems to me the only way out is a new government?
As I see it: different parts of IDF are fighting each other, IDF can't coordinate w/ the police, lawmakers are fighting the army & each other, there is attempted violent takeover of military property underway & big (select) groups of citizens are armed. Also...
