this is not to defend the obvious and well known human rights/worker violations of these countries but I rly don't think that's at the core of the objection. at the end of the day it's just abt depriving an extremely large part of the fanbase of their only opportunity to attend
why are f1 fans' framework of human rights limited to Arab countries? sure you can have objections to those on humanitarian grounds but... you have three (3) races in the US... some of your most iconic tracks are in countries with extremely bloody histories... where do you start?
I think the phrase "you lot" is a huge racist/bigot dogwhistle sorry if you are not those things pls find a different phrase to use because to ME it sounds RANCID
I really can't take it seriously enough. Its an extremely ethically dodgy sport like all major sports are so this being the woke hill to die on is funny to me. show the same energy for Vegas COTA and Miami and maybe I'll take it seriously
Hmmm. I wonder why a team would want to.... help.... a driver that was part of 2 constructors title campaigns..... I'm scratching my head about it....... must be misplaced sabotage and neglect of someone else.
I hope this is significantly true n I would also recommend every1 to not engage with people who see no merit in understanding why a team would possibly want to help a driver who is performing below expectations, even though the same thing happened last year
π¨| Stella Confirms McLaren's Resource Shift to Piastri:
β McLaren team principal Andrea Stella has confirmed that the team is reallocating engineering resources to Oscar Piastri's car. This strategic move aims to address technical challenges and mirrors the approach used to enhance Lando Norris's performance in 2025. Speaking to media, Stella explained:
βWe need to execute better and then at the same time we need to get more in tune between Oscar and the MCL40 because still Oscar is driving and thinking.β
β Stella emphasized that Piastri's struggles are not psychological but purely technical. He elaborated:
βI don't think it has anything to do with any psychological kind of opportunity. This is purely technical.β
β Stella expressed confidence in the team's ability to improve Piastri's performance, expecting a stronger showing in the latter part of the season:
βSo I think the agenda is very clear as to what we have to improve and I expect, like I always say, that we will get on top of that and we will see a stronger Oscar in the final part.β
β The resource shift is part of a familiar strategy at McLaren, previously applied to Norris. Stella anticipates similar results for Piastri:
βLike I always say to Oscar, 'Let's do it with serenity.' We are deploying more and more resources to this, like we did last year with Lando, when Lando was struggling in the first part of the season. I'm expecting the very same results.β
β The gap between McLaren's drivers has become more pronounced, with Norris currently fourth in the standings with 186 points, while Piastri is seventh, trailing by 66 points. Despite Norris's two Grand Prix wins this season, Piastri has yet to secure a victory and has been outqualified by Norris in nine of the last eleven races.
β The upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix presents a critical opportunity for McLaren to test whether the resource shift can yield the desired improvements for Piastri.

I think there is no better allegory for ferrari than the fact that one of the most demanding races of the year heat/exertion wise is also a sprint this year so they decided yeah black race suit would be mint, we are very smart
nothing truly encapsulates the rameenwhile experience than watching a video of her F1 driver (who is currently in the f1 trenches) playing cricket and he gets caught on the 2nd delivery
Piastri stated, βWhen I was probably like six or seven, I had a photoshoot with Ricky Ponting, which was very cool at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). And yeah, my uncle was taking the photo. So they needed a child as someone looking up to him. So yeah, thatβs where that famous photo came from. And then that was on the back of the local cricket rule book. I think it still is now.β
WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME ABOUT THIS???
I donβt think the mother meant: βcover up or your brother will rape youβ. Itβs more: βCover up so your teenage brother doesnβt have weird and complicated thoughts about his own sisterβ
