Unfortunate that PDP Leader & leading social activist Talib Chowdhary has been jailed for fighting for the rights of poor marginalised tribal community. Treating him like a criminal simply for taking out a peaceful march against an arbitrary demolition drive in Sidhra sends a chilling negative message to Gujjar Bakerwals who have always stood by India. Talib must be released @manojsinha_@JmuKmrPolice
Irrespective of the manufactured outrage and selective interpretations of legal provisions, @MehboobaMufti ’s visit to AIIMS has achieved one thing; it has brought back focus on a project that has been neglected for far too long. Mehbooba Mufti would do well to visit the site again in September to ensure that the project does not miss another deadline of December 2026-as it did with the previous December 2025 deadline & perhaps many before that. Let the circus of performative outrage continue!

Only if they’d spent even half of this energy about why she visited on WHY AIIMS Awantipora still remains incomplete a decade after Mufti Sahab laid its foundation in 2015! At least for whatever reason AIIMS Awantipora is back in focus. This government’s priorities & sense of entitlement will cost people of J&K deeply.

PDPs Talib Hussain arrested last week has been accused in his chargesheet of attacking the police with ‘deadly missiles’. Pray tell what missiles were these? Talib didn’t fling a single stone.
All he did was articulate the injustice of families whose homes were demolished.
Imagine the state of affairs in J&K if a man is thrown into jail on the basis of such ludicrous allegations? That too in the Hon’ble High Court?
Release Talib Hussain immediately.
Mohammad Ashraf jumped into the gushing Lidder to save his son’s life. Son survived but the father didn’t. Mohammad Ashraf Sahab’s ultimate sacrifice will exemplify the unconditional love of a father for years to come. May Allah SWT grant him the highest place in Jannah. Ameen.
A welcome push by @MehboobaMufti for a project that has the potential to transform healthcare access across South Kashmir and beyond. AIIMS Awantipora must come soon enough at a time when J&K’s health infrastructure is under immense strain. Appreciable that the issue has been taken up directly with Union Health Minister JP Nadda ji and that assurances have been secured for timely completion. The people of J&K deserve world-class healthcare closer to home as Mufti Shaib envisioned .
Spoke with Union Health Minister JP Nadda ji & requested him to expedite the ongoing work at AIIMS Awantipora so that it doesn’t get delayed any further. He was kind enough to assure me about its completion well on time.
Undoubtedly the team assigned here is toiling day & night but given how healthcare is crumbling across J&K it’s imperative AIIMS Awantipora is operational soon. Will provide much needed relief & quality medical services.
Omar Abdullah Sahib speaks eloquently and today in Bengaluru at #TheHinduHuddle2026 , he said , I am not going to ask for anything more, just give us the statehood back.
The buck stops there only, the way it has in the past, from Sadre-riyasat to Autonomy to statehood.
During her visit to AIIMS Awantipora, Ms. @MehboobaMufti interacted with officials and executing agencies to gain a firsthand understanding of the challenges affecting the project’s progress. She appreciated the dedicated efforts being made towards its early completion and assured her full cooperation in raising and addressing issues that may be hindering the timely realization of this vital healthcare facility.
Former CM @MehboobaMufti’s letter was the wake-up call that finally roused the NC’s bear from its two-year hibernation, forcing it to wake up in Dachigam today
