@Breaking911 If they cared they would take screenshots, face cam shots, video recording, audio recording then automatically pinf the local authorities with the GPS location they were last at. Anything else is theatre.
Dear Principal Campbell,
I am writing in response to the letter dated October 14, 2026 from Mrs. K. Williams concerning my child’s home-packed lunch. The letter requested that I stop sending hot meals and instead pack only cold options such as sandwiches because other students have expressed jealousy or disappointment.
This request has no basis in any legitimate safety, health, or educational concern. My child’s lunches are nutritious and properly prepared. The school handbook confirms that students are permitted to bring lunches from home. Asking a parent to change a child’s meals solely because other students feel their lunches are different improperly interferes with the fundamental right of parents to make decisions about the care and upbringing of their children.
Parents hold a fundamental liberty interest under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to direct the care and upbringing of their children. This right has been recognized by the United States Supreme Court in decisions including Troxel v. Granville, Meyer v. Nebraska, and Pierce v. Society of Sisters. Schools may regulate student conduct for genuine safety reasons or under a clear written policy, but they may not pressure parents to alter a child’s nutrition based on the subjective feelings of other students.
I request written confirmation that the October 14 letter is withdrawn and that no similar requests will be made in the future. I further request written assurance that my child will not be singled out or treated differently for continuing to bring appropriate home-packed meals. Please also provide a copy of any district or school policy that authorizes a teacher to request that parents change the contents of a home-packed lunch on the basis of other students’ jealousy. If no such policy exists, please state that clearly.
I expect a written response within ten business days. Continued interference of this nature will be escalated to the school board and the Mississippi Department of Education, and I will consider all available remedies for the violation of parental rights.
Sincerely,
Pissed Off Parent
