This 13 year-old Dutch boy, Joni, died last year after being stabbed in the back by a Turkish classmate for refusing to assist him in a robbery.

The fourteen-year-old Turkish boy had already stabbed a 65 year-old Dutch woman a year earlier during a street robbery.

After serving the maximum juvenile sentence of one year in youth detention, he is now free.

That is all our legal system is willing to do.

We need serious reforms to our criminal juvenile law and the remigration of these young offenders, including their families.

Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in India to reconstitute its Waqf Board under the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025, introducing two Hindu members for the first time.
