ఆరోజు మొదలైన నా సినీ ప్రయాణం నేటితో 48 వసంతాలు పూర్తి చేసుకుంది.

ఈ 48 ఏళ్లలో ఎన్నో పాత్రలు పోషించాను. ఎన్నో విజయాలను చూశాను. ఎన్నో అవార్డులు, గౌరవాలు అందుకున్నాను.

ఈ సుదీర్ఘ ప్రయాణంలో నన్ను నమ్మి అవకాశాలు ఇచ్చిన ప్రతి నిర్మాతకు, నాలోని నటుడిని కొత్త కొత్త కోణాల్లో ఆవిష్కరించిన ప్రతి దర్శకుడికి, నా ప్రతి సినిమా వెనుక అహర్నిశలు శ్రమించిన నటీనటులకు, సాంకేతిక నిపుణులకు, ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ నా హృదయపూర్వక కృతజ్ఞతలు. మీ అందరి సహకారమే నన్ను ఈరోజు ఈ స్థాయిలో నిలబెట్టింది.

అయితే ఆ విజయాలన్నింటికంటే గొప్పది… మీరు నాపై చూపించిన ప్రేమ.
ఆ గౌరవాలన్నింటికంటే విలువైనది… మీ హృదయాల్లో నాకు ఇచ్చిన స్థానం.

మా నాన్న నాకు పరిచయం చేసిన ఎమోషన్. నేను నా పిల్లలకి పరిచయం చేసిన ఎమోషన్. 3 జెనరేషన్స్ ఒకటే ఎమోషన్ ఎలా సాధ్యం? అదే చిరంజీవి అంటే. అది ఆయన క్రియేట్ చేసిన ఇంపాక్ట్.

చిన్నప్పుడు అత్తమ్మ కొడుకు అద్దం ముందు నుల్చున్న ప్రతీసారి బాబి నా హైర్ స్టైల్ పున్నమి నాగులో చిరంజీవి లెక్క ఉందా అని అడిగే వాడు. ప్రతీ సినెమాకి కూడా తీసుకెళ్ళేవాడు. చిరంజీవి కి సంబధించి ప్రతీది ఆయనకి పండగే. కేక్ ని కూడా ట్రాక్టర్ మీద ఊరేగిస్తా తీసుకొచ్చేవాడు. ఊర్లో హడావిడి చేసేవాడు. ఈరోజు ఆయన ఈలోకం లో లేడు కాని చిరంజీవి టాపిక్ వచ్చిన ప్రతీసారి ఆయన నా మదిలో మెదులుతాడు.

చిరంజీవి పాట అంటే ఎందుకు అంత పిచ్చి ఈ 70'స్ & 80'స్ కిద్స్ కి? అది కేవలం ఒక పాట కాదు. ఒక జ్ఞాపకం. వాళ్ళని ఆనందింప చేసేది ఆ పాట్లో ఉన్న లిరిక్స్ లేదా మ్యూజిక్ కాదు. దాని వెనక ఉన్న జ్ఞాపకాలు. ఈ సినెమా నా బావ తో చూశా అని ఒకడు, అన్న తో చూశా అని ఒకడు, నాన్న చెయ్యి పట్టుకొని తీసుకెళ్ళాడని మరొకడు. ఆరోజు ధియేటర్ లో చేసిన అల్లరి గుర్తు వస్తది. సినెమా తరువాత అందరం కూర్చొని చేసిన డిస్కషన్ గుర్తు వస్తది. అందుకే ఆ పాటలు అంత ప్రత్యేకం.

ఇప్పటికీ గుర్తు కొండవీటి దొంగ సినెమా కోసం నేను విజిల్ నేర్చుకోవాలని ప్రాక్టీస్ చేసి చేసి దమ్ము చాలక కళ్ళు తిరిగి పడిపోయాను. కాని నేర్చుకున్నా జీవితమే ఒక ఆట పాట వస్తున్నంత సేపు విజిల్ వేస్తూనే ఉన్నా. పక్కన నాన్న భయపడతానే ఉన్నాడు ఎక్కడ మరళా పడిపోతా అని కాని ఆపడు ఎందుకు అంటే ఆయనకి వెయ్యాలని ఉంది వెయ్యలేకపోతున్నాడు కాబట్టి. చిరంజీవి అంటే ఇలాంటి ఎన్నో ఎమోషన్స్. అందుకే ఆయన అంటే అంత పిచ్చి. అంత వెర్రి. అంత అభిమానం.

చిలుకా క్షేమమా పాట ఫారిన్ లో పాట చూసి నాన్నతో చెప్పే వాడిని నాన్న నేను అలా ఫారిన్ వెళ్ళి అలా ఫొటో దిగుతా అని. నేను ఫారిన్ లో అడుగు పెట్టిన వెంటనే ఫొటో దిగి నాన్నకి పంపి అదే విషయం గుర్తు చేశా. ఇలా ఒక్కొక్కరికి ఒక్కో ఇన్స్పిరేషన్. ఒకరికి డాన్స్ వెయ్యడానికి , మరొకరికి యాక్టర్ అవ్వడానికి ఇలా ఒక్కొక్కరికి ఒక్కో ఇన్స్పిరేషన్ అయాడు కాబట్టే హిట్ , ఫ్లాప్ తో సంబంధం లేకుండా ఇంతమంది హృదయాలలో ఉండిపోయాడు.

ఈరోజు దేశం గర్వించ దగ్గ రాజకీయ నాయకుడు పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ మా ముందు ఉన్నది నీ వల్లనే. దేశం గర్వించదగ్గ నటుడు రాం చరణ్ మాముందు ఉన్నది నీ వల్లనే. తగ్గేదే లేదు అని పాన్ ఇండియాని షేక్ చేసిన అల్లు అర్జున్ ప్రజల ముందు ఉన్నదీ నీ వల్లనే. ఈరోజు లారెన్స్ ని పరిచయం చేసిన ఘనత నీదే. ఇప్పుడు అదే లారెన్స్ ఎంతో మంది అనాద పిల్లలకి ఆసరా అయాడు. సూర్య గారి సేవా కార్యక్రమాలకి ఇన్స్పిరేషన్ నీవే. అదే సూర్య ఎంతమంది అనాధ పిల్లలని చదివిస్తున్నాడు. నాలాంటి ఎంతో మంది కి రాజకీయాలు పరిచయం చేసింది నీవే. అదే పవన్ వెనక నుల్చోవడానికి కారణం అయ్యింది.

సెలబ్రిటీస్ నే కాదు. పంట వచ్చాక కొంత భాగం పక్కన పెట్టి చిరంజీవి ఈవెంట్స్ అన్నదానానికి వాడదాం అని చెప్పిన నా అత్తమ్మ కొడుకు దగ్గర నుండి నీ పుట్టిన రోజు నాడు రక్తదానం, అన్నదానం చేసే ప్రతీ అభిమానికి inspiration నీవు. ఇది కేవలం హిట్టు ఫ్లాప్ సినెమా వలన వచ్చింద అభిమానం కాదు. అభిమానులని సేవా కార్యక్రమాలకి ఇన్స్పిరేషన్ చేసినందుకే ఇంతమంది అభిమానాన్ని పొందావు. అందుకే నీవు చిరంజీవి.

నీవు ఇలాంటి పుట్టిన రోజులు ఎన్నో జరుపుకోవాలి అన్నయ్యా.

A thought about Annaya @KChiruTweets is always a source of joy. While I walk along the memory lane on this special day ,these are few memories I have tumbled upon.

In our childhood, he went away from home to pursue his college education in Narsapur. And his homecoming for summer holidays was a festive season. A big pain and disappointment used to follow when he used to go back for his college. We all used to miss his absence and feel the vacuum. Home was never vibrant till he was back.

In my school days, just walking beside him was a proud moment. I used to feel like I am walking with the world's most important person; by then, he was just in college.

When he used to ride my father’s bike (Bullet - 350 cc) with his curly long hair, fit NCC Cadet body with bell bottoms and glasses - oh! it was an absolutely fanboy and hero-worshipping moment.

My Annaya was always a Hero for me even before he became a Hero.

In the early days of his film career, he brought a big blue bag from his first Singapore trip. In that blue bag I found my first tiny Lego helicopter, few remote cars, racing track, some comics, music tapes, tape recorder ,scented Yardley Co. powders, soaps ,few perfumes and other small gifts to others. He always brought us joy and smiles into our small home.

In subsequent years, when he got married, I was worried that he would be away from all of us. And I was crying silently in a room. Then he brought my Vadina and said, “Come, I will introduce you to a big man (Pedda Manishi) today.” They both were laughing while they found the reason for my tears.

Then, following years, I was taken to Chennai (then Madras) to stay with Annaya and Vadina. I don’t have enough words for the love and care they showered on me.

I had seen his struggle, hard work and injuries in shoots. Everyday he used to reach home in the middle of the night after 18 hours shift of laborious work in his sweat-drenched costumes and shoes in the Chennai’s heat and humidity; with hardly any strength to stand…

I used to feel guilty for living off on his hard work and sacrifice. But he never even uttered a word about my academic failures and lack of direction in my life.

The way he lighted up our family and relatives with his generosity and he extended the same spirit to his friends, producers, film fraternity and everyone he touched. He is one of the primary and key persons who acted as a cultural bridge between the South and Hindi film industry.He always believed in Indian cinema. Pratibandh and Aaj Ka GoondaRaj were two of his blockbusters in Hindi.

A tech-savvy person, his astounding medical knowledge, his philanthropic nature, a family man, superstardom to megastardom, Central Cabinet Minister, National Awards, highest civilian honors (Padma Vibhushan).

What he hadn’t seen and achieved, but he never rests. After a major spinal operation recently, he bounces back within no time with his strength training and goes back to work. Like a city never sleeps, he’s a man who never rests. He’s born with an unstoppable motor within. That’s why he’s become our beloved ‘Mega Star’ and my only Hero.

Let ‘Mother Nature’ provide you my Dear Annaya @KChirutweets abundant health, super strength and astounding victories on your life path.

Wishing my Annaya on his birthday is not a formality but a gentle reminder to many like me ; how his life has impacted, influenced and transformed millions like me to build a better future and to lay a stronger foundations for the land of Bharath -we all adore and worship.
