The Jhawar algorithm is a novel diagnostic schema that uses advanced intracoronary imaging to cinch the diagnosis of coronary kink - an underrecognized cause of coronary stenosis distinct from CAD, vasospasm, myocardial bridging, FMD, and other mimickers https://t.co/ymRF78yily
Honored to receive the Innovation Leadership Award. Grateful for the mentors who’ve supported me and for the chance to train in a place that encourages us to build the future of healthcare.
Some of the biggest unmet needs in medicine fall through the cracks, because they involve multiple specialties and many stakeholders, and have no single owner.
Opportunistic screening in radiology is a perfect example. Huge potential, yet still overlooked.
Is there a percutaneous option for a thrombosed mechanical valve with a frozen leaflet not responding to lytics and high surgical risk?

@ShoaClarke Thanks for sharing, will have to dig into this a little more. Ive been playing around with synthetic tabular data but it's too early to tell if it'll work. Definitely a challenge trying to create ML models for rare diseases without enough real data to go around.

So I think I understand internal medicine. You have to figure out how much fluid is in the body, then you argue with people from different specialties about how much fluid is in the body, then you do an echo, then you add or remove fluid, sometimes both, then discharge.
Just published @LancetDigitalH
When #AI was added to radiologists for reading mammograms in >55,000 women
