What is a relationship? This is how I define it:
When you have a significant other. Someone that holds a place inside of you that no one else has access too. Someone that can touch/reach you in a place that no one else can. A place that I've termed the "table for one" because this place is reserved for only one person.
It is the reason why no one can make you feel better and no one can make you feel worse. It is the reason why you're always going to be more sensitive to everything that person does and says. It's just the way it is.
I'm not meaning to call you out or anything, but I've seen this sort of "Poch doesn't care" comment and I've never understood that sentiment from so many people. The man lead Southampton(!!!!) to an 8th place EPL finish. He almost won the EPL and made the Champions League final with Tottenham(!!!).
There's no way (imo) any manager could get those kinds of results with those kinds of sides if they didn't care. And if you take into account his career as a player, I just don't think you could ever say that Poch hasn't cared at any point in his career.
I'm guessing it's because Vegas has some kind of insider information that he's going to start. My history with all sports in Vegas is that they're rarely wrong.
For me, usually when a bet looks WAY out of place in Vegas, I'm always thinking to myself "Someone knows something."
I hope it's wrong but history tells me otherwise.
I think that when he's focused and locked in, like he was in the first half (besides the early foul that lead to the German goal), he's as good a destroyer as there is and he's an incredible asset for the USMNT.
But when he starts to go chasing down the other team and playing more "cavalier" and leaving his positional discipline, like what we saw the majority of the 2nd half against Germany, that's what makes me very nervous because he basically leaves the defense and other CMs hanging out to dry.
I know he's great at doing that sort of thing, and he is really good at "going hunting" for the ball, but that 2nd half made me really think that we're really going to miss Johnny and Tessman a lot this tournament. They really could have helped cover for those moments for Tyler.
Again, assuming you've followed soccer for some time and have witnessed more than 1 WC, starting times are based on the host nation's time zones. There's absolutely no games starting at 2 AM in the USA. Just like no game has ever started at 2 AM for any host nation. So I'm still not sure what you're trying to argue?
@NationSilico@ManagerTactical Holding matches at a more tolerable time?? Besides Qatar, aren't absolutely all WCs held during the summer months?? I'm assuming you've followed soccer for a while, so I seriously ask, given what has always occurred historically, what more tolerable time are you referring to??
@StanUsmnt I thought he played within himself in the first half but I thought he was wandering/chasing a lot the second half.
Watching him that second half made me think that we’re really going to miss Johnny and Tessman this tournament.
@matthewgarner10@afcjaygooner Did he actually play in the premier league? I remember he was with Wolves but it seemed like he was always more interested in a modeling career and not playing the positions his coaches thought were his best.
@ITSxKEKExTHOOOO@LASHYBILLS That's exactly right. But it's always both. He makes it safe enough for her to do those things and she makes it safe enough for him to do the things that make her safe and on and on and on. It's always both at the same time. That's the real secret sauce.
@MLSMoves This was a great goal. But since 1990, as far as WC goals go and as a USMNT fan, nothing can come close to Landon Donovan vs Algeria in 2010.
@USMNTOtaku I remember watching this live and I absolutely bawled like a baby when Landon scored. I honestly can never watch a replay of this moment with Cantor's call and not get tearful as I watch it happen.
