I was reading in @BusinessInsider about a founder who created her own baby nutrition app for her newborn.

She'd spent years in ops at places like Uber. Non-technical by job title. Then she had a baby. She moved to contract work and became a stay-at-home parent. And she used AI tools to teach herself to code and build a nutrition app she actually wanted.

She paired a real problem (her own) with curiosity, time, and the willingness to fumble through learning.

A few obvious takeaways: AI lowers the barrier. You don't need a CS degree to build an MVP anymore. But you still need product sense. You still need to talk to users. You still need to iterate when things break.

I created 3 powerful apps using @Replit - DailySpark (morning motivation), an app for my church, and my own app to help me curate better content for my morning show!

Also worth saying out loud: life changes can be startup fuel. Maternity leave, a new rhythm, fewer meetings — those created space for focused, messy learning. That’s underrated.

The tools are shifting fast. That’s exciting. But the hard parts of building—picking the right problem, shipping, and sticking with it—are the same.

For me, it’s a reminder that opportunity often shows up when you’re brave enough to try something new.
