@mylifeasalllly exactly. i get that more listings is how they scale but the bad actors poison the platform and their communities. i went from looking forward to enjoying airbnbs to taking photos the second i arrive to avoid being burned by “surprise” fees because i left a towel on the floor lol
The @Airbnb customer experience has so notably been in decline. I just had a (property manager) host charge us almost $800 for issues that we reported right away. Instead of fixing the issue they reported US and decided we should pay for their damages?? @AirbnbHelp
It's hard to see the decline when I've long admired @bchesky and @jgebbia vision and determination for belonging and memorable customer experiences. The magic is wearing off and I hope they can figure out how to keep a platform that seems to be splitting into two, whole again.
I can see the resurgence back to hotels since Airbnbs are becoming what they once claimed they weren't. Large scale lodging without a personalized touch. If I can't get an honest host experience, why not go to a safer option where I don't have crazy fees and surprise charges?
