@theSNP Aircrafts need to be repainted and have maintenance every 4 years. This aircraft might be coming up to that very point in its life where it needs that maintenance done. It will probably be repainted after this maintenance is done like all aircraft’s. RAF may pay for this

@BartonBank @SophiaSleigh It will probably be painted after its gone in for its 4 year inspection. All aircraft need to be inspected every 4 years. Usually after thats done it gets a nice new paint job. I might cost £900,000 if they are including the cost of the maintenance of a A330

@SophiaSleigh An aircraft needs to be repainted every 4 years, usally before its painted it gose through a strict maintenance strip down and before it can be safe to fly again for the next 4 years. They will paint the aircraft after this is done. To stop any corrosion on the aircraft.
