2007 - PCEA Church buy Giriama Hotel and rename it Milele Beach Hotel.

- Using the hotel as security, they secure a Ksh 811M loan from NBK to upgrade it & build luxury apartments for sale.

- PCEA Church fail to build the apartments to completion.

2016-Bank wants to recover it's LOAN by selling the Hotel b/c the church has only repaid 82M outta 811M Loan

2019 - Church sends word to it's congregants about the auction, holds harambees nationwide and raise Ksh 430M to offset the LOAN

-Church uses the mulla to pay pastor SALARIES.

2024- NBK places the hotel under Receivership

2026- Church launches Operation Okoa Milele Beach Hotel and asks you to save them because when you Give to Milele you give to God.

Seven days ago, I called on President William Ruto to discharge his constitutional and administrative duty to release the report of the National Taskforce on Police Reforms, which I submitted to him on 16 November 2023.

That call remains unanswered.

The President had before him the historic occasion of Katiba Day to release this report and set in motion its implementation. He let the moment pass.

I now have the solemn responsibility to make the report public. I am in the final stages of consultation with various stakeholders and shall communicate the next steps in due course.

Kenya deserves police institutions that serve and protect her people.

As you try to understand how a county can receive KSH 65 billion from Kenyans across the country in 11 years of devolution, but still end up a 47% poverty rate.

Let me give you an idea.

You start with KSH 8 billion in revenue for the year.

@DavidS_Rotich and the Governor there start by spending 50% of it on salaries.

The county employs less than 1% of its people, but it dedicates 50% of the revenue to this tiny fraction.

Now, you start chipping away at the remaining 50%.

How?

In astonishingly dubious benefits.

Quoting the auditor:

KSH 48 million in: Irregular Payment of Salaries and Personal Allowances

KSH 14 million in: Illegal Special House Allowance

KSH 2.5 million in: Illegal Extraneous Allowance

KSH 3 million in: Illegal Special Salaries

KSH 15 million in: Illegal Over Payment of Salaries

KSH 119 million in: "Casual workers" who cannot be accounted for. No one knows what they did, or when they were hired, or laid off.

Na hiyo, ni kionjo tu.

It takes lots of effort to orchestrate this type of debauchery.

It is perhaps why, quoting the auditor:

Review of records revealed that ONE County Executive held one hundred and forty-eight (148) commercial bank accounts.
