Meta has reportedly restricted/blocked the visibility of PM Narendra Modi's first selfie video on Facebook in India.

If true, this raises a serious question: who gave a foreign platform the authority to limit the reach of India's Prime Minister's message?

Meta must clearly explain why this video was restricted, whether it acted on a legal request, and who made that request.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp operate across India and earn enormous advertising revenue from the Indian market. If they can restrict the Prime Minister's content, ordinary users have every reason to question how secure their own reach and free expression are.

State of Karnataka has made the law clear: the State cannot withdraw criminal cases merely through a Cabinet decision or by dictating terms to the Public Prosecutor. The Public Prosecutor is an independent statutory authority who must apply their mind to each case independently and is not bound by the Government’s decision.

The same principle applies when governments promise blanket withdrawal of criminal cases against protesters. A political promise or Cabinet decision cannot substitute the independent application of mind required by law.

In my view, this was never about the NEET students. Here he is thanking political affiliates such as AISF and communists org like SFI, followed by press conferences alongside Kapil Sibbal. Even all three leaders were affiliated with AAP, they just hijacked Sonam Wangchuks name otherwise no one was even paying heed to their protest and now they are targeting same Sonam Wangchuck and his wife .

Not even a single NEET Student was face of protest , Cadres of SFI and AISF were used at the forefront to create anarchy while broader political objectives took center stage.
