सूरज बाई जी, गत 30 वर्षों से हमारे घरों, मोहल्ले व सड़कों को स्वच्छ रखने वाली विलक्षण महिला ।

मेरा बहुत विशेष सम्बन्ध रहा है इनके साथ । आज जब जैविक माँ इस लोक से विदा हो चुकीं तो इन्हीं सीधी सादी हिन्दू स्त्रियों में मुझे माँ की झलक मिल जाती है।

She is a ragpicker for the world, but to me she is family.
I sat down with her on the roadside today on an impulse for some small talk.

मैंने उनकी जीवन यात्रा को समझने का प्रयास किया । खूब कष्ट पाया इन्होंने पर टूटीं नहीं ।

सबसे प्यारी बात मुझे वह लगी जब उन्होंने अधिकार पूर्वक कहा कि मैं कान की सोने का बालियाँ लूँगी जब आपके पोता जन्मेगा ।

यही वो साधारण हिंदू हैं जिन्होंने देश व धर्म बचाया है । ना कोई विकयिमहुड, ना मीम-भीम का रोना, बस जीवन के प्रवाह में दो मनुष्य एक दूसरे को सम्मान व प्रेम बांटते हुए अपनी अपनी राह पर चल रहे हैं ।

दूसरी तरफ इनका सेना प्रमुख कहता है कि हिंदू और मुस्लिम साथ में नहीं रह सकते इसीलिए सुअर खाने वाले हमारे कायदे आजम ने अलग देश बनाया था तुम हमसे अलग हो हम तुमसे अलग हैं ब्ला ब्ला ब्ला

यही पाकिस्तान कभी अरबो को अपना बाप बना लेते हैं कभी तुर्कों को अपना बाप बना लेते हैं

और अब यह पाकिस्तानी हिंदुओं को अपना बाप बनने लगे

The "Dehati" students!

Somewhere along the way... "Dehati" stopped being a description, It became an insult and slur to address people from villages.
As if forgetting that almost every family living in our biggest cities today... has roots in a village somewhere.

Someone left the village carrying nothing but hope...
so the next generation could speak polished English and live in polished cities and polished lives.

Yet today, we use "Dehati" as if it is something to be ashamed of.

Then you watch a video like this.

A government school teacher is being transferred.
His students aren't clapping because the ceremony demands it.

They are crying, The teacher is crying, Students touching his feet before saying goodbye,Not because anyone told them to, Because that's how they know how to express gratitude.

For a moment, you stop watching a farewell.
You are watching something much rare
A relationship that was never measured by fees, ranks, or report cards.

In many villages, a teacher is still seen as someone who helps shape a life, Not just someone hired to complete a syllabus.

Maybe that's why these children aren't embarrassed by their emotions, They haven't yet been taught to hide them.

This isn't about villages versus cities,There are wonderful teachers in cities,And there are schools in villages that struggle every day. This is about something we have slowly started losing.

The ability to openly respect the people who changed our lives, Somewhere between better schools...better salaries...better technology...and better English...many relationships quietly became transactions.

The village reminds us of something we shouldn't have forgotten,Education isn't only about producing successful people,It's about producing human beings who never feel ashamed to say,

Thank you, teacher,And if that simplicity is called dehati... maybe we've misunderstood the meaning of the word.

Rajasthan Horror: In Sri Ganganagar, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly trafficked by an e-rickshaw driver, sold to hotel operators, and gang-raped by over 30 men across multiple hotels over five days.

Did you know that in 1967, Indian soldiers inflicted heavy casualties on Chinese forces at Nathu La? Then why is this victory rarely discussed? Here’s one version of the story.

Following Pakistan’s setbacks in the 1965 war, it is claimed that President Ayub Khan sought China’s support to pressure India by opening another front. According to this account, China demanded that India vacate two forward posts—Jelep La and Nathu La.

The government allegedly agreed to withdraw from one post, which China occupied without resistance. However, at Nathu La, Major General Sagat Singh refused to retreat despite receiving orders to do so.

A fierce battle followed. Indian troops suffered heavy casualties while holding their ground against well-fortified Chinese positions. The account claims that although Indian artillery was available, its use was delayed due to command restrictions.

Determined not to let his men continue taking losses, General Sagat Singh reportedly ordered the artillery into action. The Indian guns unleashed a devastating counterattack, forcing the Chinese to retreat and inflicting severe casualties.

According to this narrative, General Sagat Singh was later transferred for disobeying orders, but his decision ensured that Nathu La remained under Indian control.

Supporters of this version argue that the Battle of Nathu La was one of India’s finest military achievements and deserved far greater recognition. They also contend that it received little attention because it reflected poorly on the political leadership of the time.

Whether one agrees with every detail or not, the courage and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers at Nathu La remain an enduring chapter in India’s military history.

Were the Crusades complicated?

Were Christians perfect?
No.

But the idea that the Crusades were some random act of Christian aggression is historically dishonest.
The real story begins long before 1095.

And once you know what happened before the Crusades, the entire conversation changes.
