No one should care how a kindergartener compares on a standardized test with kindergarteners around the country. They should care if the kindergartener feels cared for, valued, and actually enjoys coming to school to learn. Its Kindergarten!
I'm sending my kindergarten parents links to FREE, online decodable books for practice over the summer. I'm sharing in the thread below; please feel free to add any I've missed. Must be completely free, and preferably no registration, etc., required. Thanks!

Q3: Think about your own experiences as a student. What assignment structures limited you or did not feel effective for you as a learner? What other possibilities might have had more impact? #TCH296
Q2: We know relationships are impt. in our work with YAs. How do you plan on making connections with your Ss throughout clinical? How will you share your own interests too? #TCH296
