🚨 WHAT TEAM BHARAT HAS BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG IS NOW CONFIRMED BY SIAM! 🚨

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has formally flagged SEVERE E20 fuel contamination issues to the Government as vehicle part failures spike! 🚗⚠️

Key facts exposed in the SIAM report:

🔴 Severe Chloride Contamination: Chloride levels have reached up to 500 mg/kg, leading to serious risk of corrosion and rapid component wear.

🔴 Excessive Moisture Levels: Moisture content crossed 10,000 mg/kg — drastically above the permissible 3,000 mg/kg specification limit! This severely elevates the risk of ethanol-water phase separation inside fuel tanks.

🔴 Surge in Part Failures: Automakers are reporting a sharp rise in fuel pump and fuel injector replacements across vehicles.

🔴 Root Cause: SIAM attributes the contamination primarily to ageing, un-upgraded underground fuel storage tanks and pipelines at retail outlets.

SIAM’s Urgent Demands to the Government:
1️⃣ Make strict chloride limits mandatory in official E20 fuel specifications.

2️⃣ Enforce strict quality monitoring and checks by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) at all retail fuel outlets.

Everyday vehicle owners are paying out-of-pocket for damaged fuel pumps and injectors due to faulty supply chain infrastructure and unmonitored blending!
When will motorists get pure fuel and strict quality guarantees? Time for immediate accountability and enforcement!

SIAM FLAGS SERIOUS E20 FUEL QUALITY ISSUES TO GOVERNMENT

Key concerns raised by SIAM:

Chloride contamination reportedly reached 500 mg/kg, raising corrosion and component wear risks.

Another day, another example for Gadkari Ji and Puri Ji.

A 2025 Skoda Slavia, manufactured in October 2025 with just 16,000 km on the odometer, broke down on the road. The owner had to call RSA.

The injectors were replaced, and imagine this the car had just been serviced on Saturday, yet it broke down again on Sunday on a main highway.

The explanation given? Either E20 fuel or adulterated fuel by Skoda India.

Who is going to answer for this? If a relatively new car with just 16,000 km can face such an issue, what confidence should owners have?

And the bigger question what if the vehicle had been out of warranty?

Are even 2025 models not fully compatible, or is something else going wrong that needs to be addressed? 🙏🏻

I can confirm that my car too has had its mileage reduced due to E20 fuel, despite being E20 compliant.

I purchased the Volkswagen Virtus 1.0 AT in April 2024, and I have used Speed 95 petrol from Bharat Petroleum since day one.

Here is a comparison of a full tank on my office route, both at a similar average speed of 24-25 km/h:

Pic 1 (Before E20): 588kms at 12.6kmpl
Pic 2 (After E20): 449kms at 10.4kmpl

That is roughly a 17.5% drop in mileage!

Mr. Gadkari had claimed a maximum reduction of 6%, which would have meant a mileage of around 11.84kmpl. My real world numbers are nearly 3 times worse than that!

This is the WORST time to own a petrol car, especially a turbo petrol one.

Three major demands:
– Both E20 & Pure petrol option on petrol pump

1) पेट्रोल पंप पर E20 और प्योर पेट्रोल का ऑप्शन होना चाहिए

2) प्योर पेट्रोल से E20 सस्ता होना चाहिए

3) पेट्रोल का दाम 84 रुपए/लीटर से कम होना चाहिए

E0 demand is solid in India. It has increased because people are becoming aware that only this fuel is compliant with old pre-2023 cars.

People aren’t buying XP100 or Speed100 or Power100 because of 100 octane but because it has zero or max 10% ethanol.

People love their cars. They are forced to spend Rs 170 per litre than spending thousands on the repair later.
