Premium templates need to be useful out of the box! It's one thing to ship a landing page with a couple of sections as a free template, but when charging premium, customers should expect their site to come with a lot of extra thought put into the whole package.
My biggest focus for my next template is going to be to make it as "ship-ready" as possible.
That's why I'm making sure:
👉Images are easily swappable but they keep the abstract SaaS UI layer that puts the design together. No more putting in your own images only to be disappointed that it doesn't look as good as the template examples.
👉All the important pages are there. Ideally, customers should not feel the need to create any more pages for their first shipped version. What pages to include depends on the niche, but they should be the ones most important for conversion.
👉No random modules and sections. All sections come in a planned sequence to maximize conversion. On every page. This comes with designer experience, and it's one of the main things a premium template customer should pay for in my opinion.
👉All the customizations can be done fast with minimum adjustment.
Am I crazy here or is this already a no-brainer? Let's discuss! Let's make the best templates together!

We heard your feedback on the Basic plan, so we've upgraded it. Same price, more room to build.

@work_ayushUX Honestly, I love the trend I see of being confident in pricing higher. I feel like a 29-79$ template might be perceived as cheap in comparison to a 129-149$ one, and you would need less than half the sales numbers to perform similarly. Following to see how it goes, good luck!
@AkemyDesign Yeah, honestly once I submitted my template I felt a little relief to be able to start working on something different while I wait. I might also do more than one template at a time just to avoid burn-out/staring at the same thing each night, lol
I would say that depends on the market in that particular niche as well as the value provided. Like... how launch-ready is the template really? Is it a full package of curated sections that's already well thought out for that niche, or is it more loose? I think free templates would probably benefit more from being broader to leverage the extra reach you can get, while paid templates should be more focused and "launch-ready" for a specific niche. But that's just my take based on vibes, lol...
Are there any Strength/Fitness coaches or creators on here? #fitness#bodybuilding#coach
I follow a lot of you guys and get inspired on my own fitness journey but I see that on the web, you guys are severely underserved web-design wise... That's why my next template is going to be for you! Follow along as I post progress every day!

That's actually very interesting to read! Thanks for sharing, and being so transparent. I used to wonder about how it can be so easy to earn money with Framer and what the catch is... But I would say the catch really is quality. That may be obvious for someone like me and others with a lot of prior web/product design experience. But it really comes down to how well the template solves problems for real businesses!
We need to figure this out.
I’ve come across a lot of Framer templates, and know a good amount of creators.
And I’m still wondering how some of them are earning thousands of $ per week with a few templates, like @JJGerrishDev for example.
While some creators are struggling to make a sale per month with 10 templates listed on the marketplace.
Obviously audience matters, and design is the core factor. But I still find some creators with great templates, a pretty good audience, and making no money.
Is this because of niches? The complexity? Luck?
What’s the difference between @hxmzaehsan, @ramishdotdesign, @bynneh’s way of doing this business
And the ones making nothing?
I think figuring this out could change a lot of creators’ behaviors, choices, and therefore lives.
On my side I’m still early in this grind, 1 template on the marketplace, 4 others coming (in review). And I want my next steps to be the right ones.
I’m not doing this for fun, even if I truly enjoy it — I’m gonna make this a living.
Hamza, Ramish, Anatolii. Those are my goals, nothing less.
Love you all.
Repost so we receive all the knowledge we can find on X.
Template is still in review by @framer
I designed the visuals to work regardless of how your SaaS product UI looks. Even though I would recommend to also show your product UI screens, you can use all of the included, abstract overlays to still show an idea of how your product works!
