This news is about a one-man committee headed by Justice Chandru recommending to the govt of Tamilnadu, prohibition of wearing any coloured wristbands, rings, or forehead caste marks - along with many more recommendations.

It has been part of our culture that children wear thilak, vibhuthi, or thread bands from temples. Many children wear 'maalai' while being on vratam to go to Sabari malai - shouldn't our kids go to school this way?

It looks like these people are strategically structuring academic process, syllabus, work environment, buildings infrastructure and everything else into a western mode. And all this is being done in the name of removal of caste appellations!

The set of four multi-coloured stamps in the denominations of Rs 2, 5, 6.5 and 10 were issued in India during 1991, depicting different yoga postures, namely -
🌞Bhujangasana
🌞Dhanurasana
🌞Ushtrasana
🌞Utthita Trikonasana

The India Security Press at Nasik printed 10 lakh pieces each of these four stamps showing perfect postures. They were meant to take yoga to people through letters.

"The stamps were circulated and then disappeared. Yoga was not replicated on stamps in India after that. This particular set of four stamps now fetch around Rs.500 in the market" says an expert!
