These Are Our Martyrs… This Is
How Heroes Depart
Today, we bid farewell to a towering hero—a courageous lion who lived with dignity and steadfastness and departed to his Lord with his head held high: Ahmad Al-Batsh, “Abu Osama.” We regard him as a martyr, while only God knows the true standing of His servants.
I approached him for one final farewell and saw his index finger raised, bearing witness to the oneness of God—as though it carried his final words in this world and his first glad tidings on the journey to the Hereafter. I could do nothing but bend down and kiss it, bidding farewell to a pure body exhausted by wounds but never touched by defeat.
This was not merely the body of a man who had departed this life; it bore witness to a life filled with faith, courage, and steadfastness. Abu Osama lived honorably—true to his word, firm of heart, and dignified in his position. When the moment of departure came, he left as he had lived: upright, faithful, and bowing to none but God.
These are our martyrs, O Muslims. These are our heroes, O Arabs. They gave their lives and wrote with their blood the meaning of sacrifice and loyalty. They are more honorable than all of us. Their bodies leave this world, but their noble stands live forever in our hearts, and no earth can bury their memory.
May God envelop Abu Osama in His boundless mercy, accept him among the righteous, elevate his rank in the highest gardens of Paradise, and make his sacrifice a light and a testimony to his steadfastness. May God comfort him, honor his resting place, unite him with the martyrs who preceded him, and grant patience and strength to his family, loved ones, and companions.
He lived honorably and died a martyr. Blessed are the martyrs—and blessed is a soul whose final gesture in this world proclaimed: There is no god but Allah.
When Children’s Laughter
Becomes Evidence of Genocide
The two martyred children, Lana and Bana Ahmad, were among the Israeli occupation army’s “targets” today when it attacked the Ahmad family in Beit Lahia.
They carried no weapons and knew nothing of war except fear. They wore their dresses, carried their smiles, and dreamed of another day—yet that was apparently enough for the occupation to regard them as a threat that had to be killed.
This is how the occupation continues its war against Palestinian children: it kills childhood, then shamelessly lectures the world about being “the most moral army.”
What kind of morality fears a child’s smile?
What kind of army claims victory over two little dresses?
And what kind of world watches Lana and Bana being killed, yet remains silent?
Lana and Bana are not numbers in a news bulletin. They were two children with names, faces, dreams, and lives that were stolen from them. Their photograph will remain a witness to an army that waged war on children—and to a world that witnessed the crime but failed to protect them.

Chickenpox Becomes an Outbreak in Gaza: Over 58,000 Cases Raise an Urgent Public Health Alarm
Gaza is no longer facing only shortages of medicines or the collapse of hospitals. It is now confronting an infectious disease outbreak driven by war, forced displacement, contaminated water, and the collapse of public health infrastructure.
More than 58,000 cases of chickenpox have been recorded since the beginning of 2026, with over half of the cases concentrated in Khan Younis. The situation has been classified as an outbreak requiring an urgent multi-sectoral response.
This outbreak is a direct consequence of overcrowded displacement camps, contaminated water supplies, failing sanitation systems, accumulated waste, and severe shortages of hygiene materials. These conditions have created an ideal environment for the spread of chickenpox, scabies, and other communicable diseases.
When people are deprived of safe water, forced to live in overcrowded shelters, and sanitation systems collapse, infectious diseases do not spread by chance—they become inevitable. Water contamination is no longer merely a service failure; it is a major public health threat, particularly for children and other vulnerable populations.
Protecting health in Gaza requires more than medical treatment. It begins with protecting safe water supplies, restoring sanitation services, and ensuring dignified living conditions. Public health and safe water are inseparable; when one collapses, the other inevitably follows.
Beasts of Steel Devouring Gaza
The leaked footage from an Israeli occupation soldier is not merely a scene of military machines demolishing homes…
It is a complete image of brutality stripped of all humanity.
Massive bulldozers move with terrifying coldness,
invading neighborhoods like starving beasts,
attacking homes, trees, and streets without mercy.
They destroy people’s memories, children’s dreams, and the history of entire families,
as if the goal is not only to destroy stone…
but to uproot human beings themselves from the land.
What is happening in Gaza is no longer a conventional war.
It is a comprehensive campaign of annihilation,
targeting human beings, stone, and trees alike,
seeking to turn cities into lifeless emptiness.
These bulldozers do not merely crush walls;
they bury beneath the rubble stories, photographs, memories,
and the features of a homeland they seek to erase by force and fire.
But they fail to understand one truth:
a land watered with patience and blood does not die,
and a people who hold firmly to their rights
will rise again from beneath the ruins, no matter how savage the crime becomes.

Because Truth Cannot Be Besieged
Dear brothers and sisters,
We address you today not to express weakness, but to awaken the power of your voice.
We are facing systematic harassment in delivering our message,
while efforts and resources are being spent to obscure the truth—
to prevent it from reaching the world as it truly is: clear, honest, and undeniable.
Yet truth—no matter how besieged—does not die,
and a sincere voice will always find its way.
Whoever chooses to stand with justice,
let their voice become a bridge for truth.
Whoever stands for humanity,
let their presence leave an impact… and their sharing become a stance.
Your comments… your shares…
are not trivial acts,
they are testimony for history,
and a stand against distortion.
Be partners in delivering the truth…
for silence, in moments like these, is not neutrality.
World Children’s Day… Gaza’s Children Between Life and Death
On a day when the world lights candles for childhood
and raises voices to defend children’s rights everywhere,
Gaza stands on the other side of the world—
not celebrating, but counting its small martyrs.
In Gaza, a story does not begin with a toy
nor end with laughter.
It begins with an explosion,
and ends with a child’s name added to a list of loss.
Here, childhood is not a stage of life—
it is a struggle to survive.
More than 21,510 children killed,
over 41,283 injured,
hundreds lost under hunger, fear, and siege.
579 children died because life itself became impossible,
and 24 remain missing,
as if they vanished into rubble… or ascended without farewell.
269 infants never had the chance to live,
1,268 brain and spinal injuries,
and 864 cases of amputation and disability—
children who, if they grow, grow with unbearable pain.
Between life and death,
4,000 children are waiting for treatment abroad—
waiting for a decision, a crossing, or mercy.
But the deepest wound…
is not only in blood,
it is in loss.
58,554 orphaned children—
some lost their fathers,
some their mothers,
and some lost everything at once.
Children forced to grow too soon,
to become witnesses instead of dreamers,
to carry memory instead of toys.
On World Children’s Day…
do not ask about their games,
ask about their graves.
Do not ask about their schools,
ask about the rubble that became their last classrooms.
This is not just a passing headline,
nor a moment to be forgotten—
this is a complete crime,
targeting the very meaning of childhood.
And yet…
in Gaza, a child still smiles,
another still holds a book,
a third raises a flag among the ruins,
saying to the world:
We are here…
born from pain,
growing with hope,
writing life—even from the rubble.
