I've been hunting the job market for about 6 months. After spending 20 years in accounting, it brings me no joy. Looking to break into something new. But it's tough finding something decent in my neck of the woods.

I was let go from my job today.

As I sit with the day, I accept this blessing in disguise.

In case you didn't know how to calculate your annual wage COLA to keep up with rising costs

Try: Adjusted Wage = Current wage x (1+inflation rate)

SK ended 2023 with a 4.6% inflation rate

Most cases the 1.5-2% increase doesn't cover annual cost of living in SK

@charalaffe Not sure if they still do, but my city has 3 Walmart's. Outside of any "advertised" prices, when my kids were little, diapers at all 3 Walmart's were different prices (south side, north end, or west side), west side was always cheapest. Same with clothing size options
