👏Round of applause for #PISDMathChat Emerging Teacher Leaders #PISDETL! On Wednesday afternoon, they shared their campus spotlights focusing on their implementation of math workshop.
@PISDESMath My students love to do mental math challenges. I will put a problem on the board and the students talk about how they solved the problem. I give sentence stems but have very little involvement. They teach each other!
@PISDESMath A2: My students love the whiteboard so I have a whiteboard and marker for each student so that they can workout their answers. It keeps them engaged and they want to participate!
@PISDESMath A1: Robin Randolph at Mae Smythe Elementary! Math routines that I do everyday are number talks and multiplication charts. They help with fact fluency!
Choral counting to start off our math block is my students favorite thing! It is making a big difference when learning their multiplication facts! #pisdmathchat
