This is a disturbing exercise in reverse psychology. Those facing serious public questions now position themselves as victims, using claims of harassment and defamation to redirect attention away from the circumstances surrounding Nolan Wells’ death.
This tactic has deep historical roots. When Black families demand answers and accountability, the focus can shift from the person who died to the alleged suffering of those being questioned. Scrutiny becomes “persecution.” Accountability becomes “harassment.” Public demands for transparency become “defamation.”
Now, some of the friends who were reportedly with Nolan on the day he disappeared are raising money for legal expenses. The fundraiser says the money will help Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo and Morgan Seymour defend against potential lawsuits and pursue legal action against people they say have falsely blamed them.

On April 22, 2018, James Shaw Jr. walked into a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee, expecting nothing more than breakfast. Minutes later, g*nfire erupted inside the restaurant.
Four people had already lost their lives, and the g*nman was still carrying an AR-15 style rifle. Most people would have run. Shaw made a split-second decision that changed everything.
Unarmed and acting purely on instinct, Shaw charged the g*nman. He grabbed the rifle by its burning hot barrel with his bare hands and fought to take control of the weapon.
His hands were badly burned, but he refused to let go until the rifle was out of the attacker's hands. The g*nman fled, and Shaw's extraordinary courage almost certainly prevented even more innocent people from being k*lled.
The country praised him as a hero, but Shaw never accepted that title.
He said he was simply trying to survive and protect the people around him. Instead of seeking fame, he launched a fundraiser that collected more than $200,000 for the victims' families. He continued speaking about healing, kindness, and supporting communities affected by violence.
Today, the headlines have faded, and many people no longer remember the man who risked everything for complete strangers. But courage like James Shaw Jr.'s should never be forgotten.

@RoyalCaribbean I want everyone to know that if Royal makes an itinerary change that you don’t want, you have to pay Royal $100 pp or $500 to cancel. Greatest Scam of our time!
Why does the attorney have to investigate and evaluate every single person involved. Why aren’t they in custody being investigated? @ABC@CBSNews@FoxNews@MSNBC@SkyNews@cnnbrk Now we question their integrity and procedure.
The facts aren’t adding up. We’ve obtained the full Sea Tow audio and retained leading audio and oceanic engineering experts to examine the evidence and make sense of conflicting accounts in Nolan Wells death.
I gave my life to Christ when I was seven years old.
Years later, as an Apache pilot flying 55 combat missions over Baghdad, I knelt beside my helicopter before every mission and prayed the Lord’s Prayer.
Every single time.
You never know if you’re coming home.
I was raised in a family that believed faith, service, and sacrifice were inseparable.
My father served.
My brother, sister, and I all graduated from West Point.
We were taught that freedom isn’t inherited… it is DEFENDED. 🇺🇸
+1 today! 🥳🎈
Thank You, Jesus, for another year of grace, growth, and faithfulness. I'm so grateful.
Here's to another year of becoming all God has called me to be.
Help me thank God today! 🙏🏽

I agree with @iamtabithabrown 100%. We just want to know what happened. That’s it, one question…WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS YOUNG MAN? We will continue to ask for answers, pray for the family, and demand justice for this obvious cover up. #POWER

Staci Turner, the Chief Medical Examiner in Mississippi, needs to be investigated & every case she has ruled accidental, undetermined, or suicide involving Black people needs to be reexamined immediately.
Trey Reed was found hanging at the Delta State college campus. She ruled his death a suicide. But an independent investigation ruled it homicide after discovering blunt force trauma and bruising all over his body.
She ruled Nolan Wells death a drowning almost immediately after receiving his body. The Wells Family has since requested an independent investigation.
She ruled Damion Cameron’s death undetermined after a deadly confrontation with law enforcement left him with internal neck bleeding.
Shannon Wilson was embalmed without his family’s permission. Destroying evidence that could have proven he was murdered.
When I make posts about institutional racism. This is a shining reminder of what it looks like.
They call us racist for exposing their racism. Think about that family.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen
